00:00 Jojo Siwa and Lil Tay are at the center of the latest celebrity feud.
00:05 Over the last week, the Dance Moms alum and the Canadian rapper have been busy throwing
00:09 shade at each other online.
00:11 And it seems the beef all started April 12th when Lil Tay responded to an ex post sharing
00:16 a clip of her Sucker for Green music video, where a user compared her to Jojo.
00:21 The 16-year-old clapped back, writing, "Wish I didn't just find out who that is.
00:26 I wrote Sucker for Green myself, didn't buy the song or hire a ghostwriter.
00:31 Please don't mention me and her in the same sentence."
00:35 The influencer, who went viral late last year for a death hoax, then doubles down on her
00:39 disdain for the Karma singer in another ex post, saying, "I didn't know who she was,
00:44 but after some research I found out she associates with pedophiles, buys her songs and doesn't
00:49 write her music.
00:50 And I take my music very seriously and don't want to be compared to frauds."
00:55 E! News has reached out to rapster Jojo for comment, but has not yet heard back.
01:00 The So You Think You Can Dance judge, whose latest single, "Karma," was originally
01:04 recorded by Brit Smith in 2012, may have subtly responded to Lil Tay's claims.
01:09 Several fan accounts are sharing screenshots showing Jojo allegedly liked a post that read,
01:14 "There's really no comparison between Jojo and Lil Tay anyway.
01:19 Jojo Siwa has a career.
01:21 Lil Tay is just a meme and a pathetic one at that."
01:24 And while Jojo's like history on ex no longer shows the post, Lil Tay then added fuel to
01:29 the fire by directly calling her out, tagging the dancer in an April 16th ex post, writing,
01:35 "@itsjojosiwa you're a scary ass b****.
01:38 If you have something to say about me, say it and this time don't delete your comment
01:43 or unlike shady tweets.
01:45 Don't let those paid YouTube views and botted Spotify streams get to your head, Madonna
01:49 from Dollar Tree ass b****."
01:51 Since releasing "Karma," the 20-year-old has promoted the track by launching a quote,
01:56 "rebrand of herself," which she's compared to Miley Cyrus' "Bangers" era.
02:00 However fans don't appear to be on board, as the original, previously unreleased version
02:04 of the song recorded by Brit in 2012 has outcharted Jojo's single on iTunes.
02:10 And despite backlash surrounding her allegedly re-recording the track, Jojo maintains it's
02:14 her song, telling TMZ in a statement April 12th, "I didn't steal anything.
02:20 There's no such thing as stealing.
02:22 What happens is people write songs and then they don't do anything with them.
02:27 Then a few years later it makes sense for another artist."
