00:03 Here's what we're watching on the street today.
00:05 Investors are digesting some key corporate earnings
00:08 with streaming giant Netflix having reported
00:10 after the closing bell.
00:12 On Friday, Wall Street will be looking forward
00:14 to earnings from American Express and Procter & Gamble.
00:17 As of Thursday's open, more than 11% of S&P 500 companies
00:21 have released results, and of those,
00:23 72% have surpassed Wall Street's estimates.
00:26 In other news, a collaborative effort
00:28 from law enforcement in 19 countries
00:31 has taken down an online platform that
00:33 profited from selling phishing tools to cyber criminals.
00:37 The website, called Labhost, was created in 2021.
00:40 It allowed hackers to set up fake sites
00:43 that were aimed at gathering a user's personal information.
00:46 The UK's Metropolitan Police said 37 people were arrested,
00:50 and more than 70 locations were searched in connection
00:53 with the scheme.
00:54 The platform charged users $249 a month
00:57 for access to its services.
00:59 According to the EU's law enforcement agency, Europol,
01:02 Labhost made more than $1 million
01:05 in payments from criminals.
01:06 In a statement, the agency said, quote,
01:08 "Depending on the subscription, criminals
01:10 were provided an escalating scope of targets
01:13 from financial institutions, postal delivery services,
01:16 and telecommunications services providers, among others."
01:20 More than 2,000 people were registered for the site,
01:23 and that has led to the creation of 40,000 phishing
01:26 domains worldwide.
01:28 Europol says Labhost was able to obtain 480,000 bank card
01:32 numbers, 64,000 PIN numbers, and more than 1 million passwords
01:37 to other websites and services.
01:40 That'll do it for your daily briefing from the New York Stock
01:42 Exchange.
