00:07 Proposals for a new shop, the fifth in the city and surrounding area, were revealed in

00:11 an application to demolish the former PC World site in Blackpool Road and change its use.

00:16 Home Bargains already has stores in Deepdale Road, Queen's Shopping Park, Marketplace

00:20 and the Capital Centre.

00:22 The intention is to retain these stores alongside a new store in Blackpool Road, which will

00:25 specifically serve residents in the eastern and northern part of the city.

00:31 The owner of a five-storey B&B in Blackpool believes the standards of small holiday accommodation

00:34 in the resort and the town itself need to be pulled up.
