Angelina Jolie's Daughter Vivienne Joins Mom on the Red Carpet _ E! News

00:21 Jolie announced in August 2023 that she would be working as a lead producer on the new musical,

00:26 an adaptation of the 1967 novel and Francis Ford Coppola's 1983 film.

00:33 She also shared at the time that Vivian is working on the show as a volunteer assistant

00:38 and that they had taken in a performance at La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego earlier that

00:44 Angelina previously said of her daughter in a statement obtained by People Magazine, "She

00:48 isn't focused on being the center of attention, but in being a support to other creatives.

00:54 She's very thoughtful and serious about theater and working hard to best understand how to

01:21 The Outsiders takes place in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the 1960s and follows a band of brothers

01:27 and their group of friends sometime after the death of the brothers' parents.

01:31 The musical's plot revolves around conflicts between the group of greasers and the more

01:36 affluent teenagers in the city.

01:38 OG Outsiders film star Matt Dillon visited the cast on April 3rd, with Angelina and Viv

01:45 Jolie also told People Magazine she was inspired to contribute to the new musical because,

01:51 "I feel so strongly about this material and this creative team."

01:55 And this isn't the first time Vivian has made an appearance with mom on the red carpet.
