TransPennine upgrade works to impact Leeds rail travel

Changes to weekday services between Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Leeds will be in place for a four-week period from Monday 22 April until Friday 17 May.

00:12 The TransPennine route upgrade works will see 4,000 metres of new track installed between

00:17 Morley and Cottingley, while troughing will be fitted to hold 3,500 metres of new signal

00:23 Engineers are also due to remove five redundant signal bases and undertake work at Morley

00:29 station's platforms.

00:30 Diversionary routes and rail replacement buses will be implemented, but passengers are advised

00:35 to still plan ahead and check before travelling over the four weeks.
