Diana, a skilled and spirited pool hustler, rolls into a rundown Southern town with one goal: take down the kingpin of a high-stakes, illegal keno pool operation. This kingpin, Nick, runs the games out of a dusty old plantation house, a far cry from the glamorous casinos Diana is used to. But Nick, a grizzled veteran of the pool shark scene, recognizes Diana's talent. Despite their contrasting styles - Diana's all flash, Nick's all grit - they strike a deal. Nick agrees to mentor Diana, and together they plot to dethrone the reigning keno champion, a ruthless shark with a reputation for leaving his opponents broke and brokenhearted
