13:35 National Volunteers Week happens in Canada from April 14th to 20th this year.

13:40 And while our volunteers deserve to be celebrated 365 days a year,

13:44 Skeet Ontario has come up with an initiative to help make them feel extra special this week.

13:49 This is our High Five a Volunteer initiative.

13:52 If you go to skeetonterio.org/volunteer and click the High Five a Volunteer banner,

13:57 you can fill out the survey to recognize an exceptional volunteer in your community.

14:02 This volunteer that you choose to recognize will receive a personalized email from Skeet Ontario

14:06 letting them know they were high-fived, as well as a personalized official certificate.

14:10 They will also have the chance to be featured on the Skeet Ontario website and social media channels.

14:14 So please head over to our website and take a few minutes and highlight a very important person in your community.

14:21 I promise you they will definitely be grateful.

14:24 They are unsung heroes of our organization and we thank them greatly.

19:30 And while we're here, let me give you a few more details on the showcase category.

19:36 As I mentioned previously, this category of event is not meant to focus on the jumps or the spins,

19:41 like our traditional programs.

19:44 These showcase programs designed by the skater and coach are meant to focus on the skater's ability

19:49 to entertain an audience through the use of theatrics or artistic abilities.

19:53 We're looking to tell a story or create a mood or showcase an obvious theme through their skating.

20:01 This is a great category for focusing on quality of skating skills, knee bend, ankle bend,

20:07 step sequences, twizzles, field moves,

20:12 really anything that's not a jump or spin that the skaters can focus on executing the quality of.

20:26 These skaters have just a minute to warm up and then they will go ahead with their program.

20:30 These Star 5 showcase numbers are two and a half minutes,

20:33 whereas we've seen two minutes and 1.5 minute programs in the lower categories.
