ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ದಿನಾಂಕ ಘೋಷಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಡಳಿತರೂಢ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‌ ಗೆ ಠಕ್ಕರ್‌ ಕೊಡುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಜೆಡಿಎಸ್‌ ಮೈತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಇತ್ತ ಮರಳಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಿಎಂ ಜಗದೀಶ್‌ ಶೆಟ್ಟರ್‌ ಗೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಅಗ್ನಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿದೆ.
