00:00:00 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:00:05 Can you say hard hats, folks?
00:00:07 Hard hats, lunch pail, steel tool, boots.
00:00:09 Anything short of a championship this year is a fail.
00:00:12 It's not a real--
00:00:12 Look at this boomer right here.
00:00:14 You've just got so much talent here.
00:00:16 Somebody said we need to apologize for Jalen.
00:00:18 Can I pull the John?
00:00:19 What are we apologizing for?
00:00:21 What did we say?
00:00:21 What did we do?
00:00:22 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:00:25 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:00:31 Yeah.
00:00:32 Yeah, we got it.
00:00:32 There it is.
00:00:33 Look at this.
00:00:37 OK.
00:00:38 Some people are in their--
00:00:39 Some people are in their feelings tonight.
00:00:41 Some people are in their feelings about this game.
00:00:44 Yeah.
00:00:46 They're upset.
00:00:47 I think firing Joe Mazzuolo, top of the agenda,
00:00:52 according to the chat right now.
00:00:54 Top of the agenda.
00:00:55 Really, right before the playoffs?
00:00:56 Get him out of here?
00:00:58 Get him out of here for that.
00:00:59 Oh my god.
00:01:00 How's that in-season firing working in Milwaukee?
00:01:03 How's that working?
00:01:04 Headline.
00:01:04 There you go.
00:01:05 Good, cool.
00:01:06 Headline of the game is what, Jimmy?
00:01:09 Very simply?
00:01:09 X-Man saves the day.
00:01:12 We could go with X-Man saves the day.
00:01:13 We could go with X-Man coronation.
00:01:16 Oh, I like that.
00:01:17 But-- but we could--
00:01:20 X marks the spot, somebody says in the chat.
00:01:22 That's a good one.
00:01:23 That is a good one.
00:01:24 X marks the spot.
00:01:24 If you want to go negative, as Bobby did in the thing,
00:01:29 it's stay ready, crew, not ready.
00:01:32 Narrator, they weren't ready.
00:01:34 Oh, wow.
00:01:36 Joe Mazzuolo put the stay ready, crew in.
00:01:38 Narrator, they weren't ready.
00:01:40 Yeah, yeah.
00:01:41 That's your lead.
00:01:42 That's your lead.
00:01:43 We got people in my mentions saying fire Joe.
00:01:46 We got Jelso in here firing up the chat.
00:01:49 The problem with this game is--
00:01:51 Jelso's sparking the fire right now.
00:01:53 I don't-- I think the expect--
00:01:55 I think-- I think--
00:01:56 I think his expectations might be a little high on what
00:02:01 we're going to do.
00:02:02 There's literally nothing to talk--
00:02:04 this game is impossible to talk about.
00:02:06 It's Friday night.
00:02:08 We don't even have to talk about the game, Joe.
00:02:10 This game is impossible to talk about.
00:02:13 Ho hum, yeah.
00:02:15 It was a fun experiment, right?
00:02:17 Yeah.
00:02:18 Joe pulls the starters.
00:02:19 A lot of lessons were learned.
00:02:22 And there was no walk of shame tonight
00:02:25 when there should have been.
00:02:26 In a regular game, there's a walk of shame here.
00:02:29 Bench couldn't hold it down.
00:02:31 They go back, heads down.
00:02:33 Sorry, guys.
00:02:33 Starters have to come back in after they were laughing
00:02:36 and yucking it up on the bench.
00:02:39 Up 21 points with six minutes left,
00:02:41 and then they just went cold.
00:02:43 Didn't let a field go in.
00:02:44 You know, that's-- you got to wonder
00:02:46 what's going through the minds of the stay ready crew here,
00:02:48 right?
00:02:48 Because they got to be like-- part of them
00:02:50 wants to be like, we're going to do this.
00:02:52 The other part's going to be like--
00:02:54 Don't screw this up.
00:02:55 How?
00:02:56 How?
00:02:57 You know, like, somebody going to help me here?
00:02:59 Right, just looking over to the bench,
00:03:01 waiting for the subs to come up to the table.
00:03:03 Dude, oh my god.
00:03:05 I have one nightmare game when I was--
00:03:08 my freshman year, I was playing junior varsity baseball.
00:03:11 And I came in on relief as a pitcher.
00:03:13 I just couldn't find the strike zone.
00:03:15 We were up by like 15 runs, so it didn't matter.
00:03:18 And the coach was like, I'm just going to let
00:03:20 him work his way through it.
00:03:22 And I just walked one guy after the next, after the next.
00:03:26 And I just kept looking over.
00:03:27 I'm like, come get me, man.
00:03:31 You know?
00:03:32 And you're wondering at a certain point,
00:03:34 the bench was feeling that tonight.
00:03:36 Oh, they were looking over.
00:03:37 They started to look over, I think.
00:03:39 Last minute of the game, butt cheeks clenched.
00:03:42 Yeah, they were--
00:03:43 Answer the lieutenant's question.
00:03:46 Yeah, they couldn't get there.
00:03:47 They couldn't get there tonight.
00:03:49 But they did.
00:03:49 Exactly.
00:03:50 Joe did not flinch.
00:03:51 This was stubborn Joe at work today.
00:03:54 I love it.
00:03:55 I do too.
00:03:55 I do too.
00:03:56 And even if they would have lost this game, it didn't matter.
00:03:58 It didn't matter.
00:03:59 The only reason he didn't win, nothing--
00:04:01 they could lose out.
00:04:02 Nothing mattered.
00:04:03 So it's easy for him to just say, yeah,
00:04:05 we're going to win or lose this game with you guys.
00:04:07 But the thing about this game, though, guys,
00:04:09 is that I expect more games like this in this last week,
00:04:15 we're going to have for the season.
00:04:16 Because almost every team they're playing,
00:04:18 for the most part, has something to gain by winning.
00:04:23 And Sacramento, they want to be in the playoffs.
00:04:25 They don't want to be in a playing game.
00:04:27 So to me, I was a little bit disappointed
00:04:28 that they didn't play better at the start of the game,
00:04:30 to be honest with you.
00:04:31 I thought they would play better.
00:04:32 Because they had-- in the South, they're
00:04:33 just trying to make sure no one gets hurt.
00:04:35 That's literally all they need to do at this point,
00:04:37 just play, crack a sweat, nobody gets hurt.
00:04:41 And there's so many things in this game that just were odd.
00:04:45 I mean, the fact that Sacramento didn't play
00:04:47 with a great sense of urgency in the beginning,
00:04:49 the fact that Sam Houser could not make a shot.
00:04:52 Yeah.
00:04:53 He did make one shot, Sharad.
00:04:55 The fact that Luke Gournett was probably--
00:04:57 He made one.
00:04:57 He missed 17.
00:05:01 The other funny thing is that probably
00:05:02 didn't get talked about is that Christoph Porzingis probably
00:05:04 realized like three minutes before the third quarter
00:05:06 started that he had to take a shit.
00:05:08 And that's probably why he was late to the bench.
00:05:11 Yeah.
00:05:13 A pre-game meal.
00:05:14 Everyone's like, is Christoph done for the night?
00:05:17 And he's sitting there laughing on the bench.
00:05:19 He's like, nah, I'm good.
00:05:20 I'm going to get in.
00:05:21 He gets in like one minute, 90 seconds into it.
00:05:24 So the whole game--
00:05:24 He went Fettuccine Alfredo before the game.
00:05:26 He's just, I can't do that.
00:05:28 I can't do that.
00:05:29 The old Michael Scott move.
00:05:31 Yep, carpool loading.
00:05:33 Rabies one.
00:05:34 Rabies one tonight.
00:05:35 [LAUGHTER]
00:05:38 So yeah.
00:05:40 Yeah.
00:05:41 So the whole thing was-- the whole game was ridiculous.
00:05:44 And you're right, Sacramento should have come.
00:05:45 It was just bizarre.
00:05:46 I mean, Celtics had six points at that first TV timeout
00:05:51 with five minutes and 40-something seconds.
00:05:53 They're on pace for like 30 points,
00:05:55 two highest scoring teams in the league.
00:05:57 The shots start falling.
00:05:58 But again, classic arms reach game for the Celtics.
00:06:01 They're without a couple of players.
00:06:02 Sacramento's without a couple of players.
00:06:04 Celtics have nothing to play for.
00:06:06 Sacramento has quite a bit to play for.
00:06:08 That play-in might be tougher than--
00:06:10 I mean, nobody wants to be part of that play-in situation.
00:06:14 And they're right on that bubble.
00:06:16 And so they're playing their asses off.
00:06:19 Stay ready, Cruz, in there.
00:06:20 And again, win or lose, nothing really mattered.
00:06:23 Bench gets some experience.
00:06:24 They get battle tested.
00:06:25 And you know what?
00:06:26 You found a new go-to guy in the clutch.
00:06:28 Down one, forget Tatum.
00:06:30 X-Man.
00:06:31 That's it.
00:06:33 Give it to the X-Man.
00:06:34 He's your fourth center.
00:06:36 He's your fourth center.
00:06:38 [LAUGHTER]
00:06:41 Oh, that's going to be the tournament next year, baby.
00:06:44 Oh, my god.
00:06:45 He's your fourth center.
00:06:46 He's your fourth center.
00:06:47 This guy, he gets traded to the team.
00:06:51 Nobody knows what he can do.
00:06:53 But he just keeps plugging, John.
00:06:56 He just does.
00:06:57 What do you want from him?
00:06:58 What do you want?
00:06:59 He's athletic.
00:06:59 He can play all five positions.
00:07:01 He can defend.
00:07:02 And he's here when you need him.
00:07:04 He's your fourth center.
00:07:06 He's your fourth center.
00:07:08 He's your fourth center.
00:07:10 He's your fourth center.
00:07:12 Speaking of, we've got to figure out, is there a championship?
00:07:15 There is.
00:07:16 There's a little bit more.
00:07:17 We'll get into that.
00:07:18 We got Bobby and Joe Suede on there.
00:07:20 We'll see what happens with that situation.
00:07:22 I did steal this.
00:07:24 Oh, what do you got?
00:07:25 I stole this.
00:07:25 This I did see.
00:07:27 So shout out to Taylor.
00:07:29 Nice job, Taylor.
00:07:31 Nice job, Taylor.
00:07:32 He's your fourth center, John.
00:07:34 What do you want?
00:07:35 [LAUGHTER]
00:07:39 That's awesome.
00:07:40 That's so good.
00:07:41 Dr. Quinn in the building.
00:07:43 Dr. Quinn, host of the Celtics Lab podcast,
00:07:45 a terrific podcast that you should be checking out
00:07:49 on the CLNS Media Network.
00:07:50 Those guys bring it every week.
00:07:53 Yeah, man, we don't deserve Bobby.
00:07:55 You're right.
00:07:57 Nothing-- there's no--
00:07:59 Speaking of Bobby--
00:07:59 There is no [INAUDIBLE] without Bobby.
00:08:01 Speaking of Bobby, Hauser looked like Finastas Manning
00:08:04 out there tonight.
00:08:05 [LAUGHTER]
00:08:06 Oh my god.
00:08:08 I think J. King would have beat Hauser.
00:08:10 Look at this line.
00:08:13 Wow.
00:08:14 Wow.
00:08:16 Yeah, that's Finastas Manning out there.
00:08:18 That's probably the worst game Sam has ever played in the NBA.
00:08:21 Probably.
00:08:21 In the world ever.
00:08:22 Probably, sure.
00:08:23 Maybe ever.
00:08:23 Maybe ever.
00:08:24 There aren't any NBA players ever who have
00:08:26 had a worse game than this.
00:08:28 This is like my team.
00:08:29 I think Tatum was.
00:08:30 My sixth grade girls.
00:08:31 Tatum shot this once.
00:08:33 Stat lines of some girls who are like 2 for 24 in a game.
00:08:37 This was pretty bad.
00:08:38 This is--
00:08:39 It was.
00:08:41 Yeah.
00:08:43 That's like Joe Sway at the bar numbers, 1 for 18.
00:08:47 Yeah, but you only need one, right?
00:08:49 If you--
00:08:49 That's it.
00:08:50 Just one.
00:08:51 Hey, that's right.
00:08:52 That's all you need.
00:08:53 You've got to keep shooting.
00:08:55 It's funny.
00:08:55 I think this is payback for the excessive Hauser
00:08:59 love we gave from the 11-3 night where he should have broken
00:09:04 the record and twisted his ankle all the way to coming back.
00:09:06 And going those couple of games where he's
00:09:09 hitting 7 and 8 and 5.
00:09:11 But oh my god.
00:09:13 This is just--
00:09:14 I can't stop looking at this.
00:09:17 Yeah.
00:09:17 Blind.
00:09:18 It's like a train wreck.
00:09:19 There has to be a typo.
00:09:21 It's like that car on the side of the road that's on fire.
00:09:23 Ahmed doesn't make typos.
00:09:24 No, he doesn't.
00:09:25 Oh my goodness gracious.
00:09:27 That's a miss every two minutes, basically.
00:09:31 He was like, yeah, I'm going to miss one here.
00:09:34 Every two minutes, you're using the game.
00:09:36 We talked about what happened.
00:09:37 Celtics hang on to win after being on score 21 to 3
00:09:40 over the final 6-0-6 of the game.
00:09:42 Joe Mazzuola and a small person at the podium, presumably
00:09:47 his son, talking about the kind of fun, stressful environment
00:09:52 of this game.
00:09:54 Producer boy.
00:09:55 This is fun.
00:09:56 This is awesome.
00:09:56 Couldn't simulate a better environment of stress,
00:09:59 pressure, chaos.
00:10:01 It's a perfect environment to execute.
00:10:05 So that's why when those guys are in,
00:10:07 you hold them to the same center that you
00:10:09 hold everybody else to.
00:10:10 So I thought they did a great job just making plays.
00:10:12 And there's no reason to call a timeout there,
00:10:15 because when Peyton got the ball in bounds,
00:10:16 he created an advantage.
00:10:17 And they were double teaming every time.
00:10:18 And so we were going to get a better shot in that.
00:10:21 They were in a fix-it situation the entire possession.
00:10:23 So that allowed us to get a good look.
00:10:25 It allowed us to get offensive rebounds,
00:10:27 because they couldn't find us.
00:10:28 We were off their body.
00:10:29 So I thought it was a perfect environment for practice.
00:10:33 What does that do for your guys?
00:10:35 What does that do for them to be able to pull out that victory
00:10:37 in the last minute there?
00:10:40 I mean, it just--
00:10:41 all those guys have played a significant role in winning
00:10:45 games the entire season.
00:10:46 And when guys have been injured, they stepped up.
00:10:48 Everybody on that floor has started a game for us
00:10:50 this year, I think.
00:10:51 And so-- or have played significant, significant
00:10:54 minutes.
00:10:54 And so it's just a testament to them.
00:10:56 And whoever's on the floor, I always
00:10:58 feel like we have a chance to win.
00:10:59 There we go.
00:11:04 And so--
00:11:05 Fine.
00:11:06 Yeah.
00:11:07 You think Joe's on better behavior
00:11:09 having his boy up there?
00:11:10 Yes.
00:11:10 Oh, yeah.
00:11:11 He's not going to call--
00:11:13 I think he was probably in his mind, he's like, it's Bobby.
00:11:15 I should be snide.
00:11:17 If they lost, I don't think his kid's up there.
00:11:20 Let's put it that way.
00:11:21 Maybe some choice words.
00:11:22 I'm putting this up for three reasons.
00:11:25 One, I like being told I'm right every once in a while.
00:11:29 It's not usually a thing I see in the chat.
00:11:34 The super chat, thank you very much.
00:11:36 For anybody who does contribute, this goes to the hosts.
00:11:38 We appreciate it.
00:11:40 For anybody who wants to make a contribution here,
00:11:42 it helps us continue bringing you this free content.
00:11:45 And three, the point being, this is
00:11:47 kind of what it is with the bench
00:11:49 and what we've been saying all year.
00:11:50 They play with three starters all the time.
00:11:52 A lot of bench guys don't.
00:11:53 If you put Vs.
00:11:54 Hauser and Pritchard on different teams,
00:11:57 you wonder-- some people might think, well,
00:11:59 they'd get more of an opportunity.
00:12:00 They'd play.
00:12:01 Maybe--
00:12:02 They get more exposed.
00:12:04 If you get put up into the number two or three option
00:12:07 on the floor at any given time, it's a challenge, right?
00:12:11 Yes.
00:12:11 Look, Pritchard did well for himself here,
00:12:14 and as best he could.
00:12:15 Late in the game there, going against Sacramento starters
00:12:18 when he was the only viable create-your-own-shot guy,
00:12:22 that's really hard sailing.
00:12:23 But that's also asking a lot from him.
00:12:25 I thought he was solid tonight.
00:12:27 Hauser, just one of those nights, man.
00:12:29 That's it.
00:12:30 I don't think this was a matter of being exposed
00:12:33 to too many expectations necessarily.
00:12:35 He just was ice cold.
00:12:36 There's nothing you could do about it.
00:12:38 I mean, he started.
00:12:39 He played with the starters.
00:12:41 He just couldn't hit a friggin' thing.
00:12:43 Right, but when you're with the starters
00:12:45 versus coming off the bench, it's just a different role
00:12:47 and a different mentality.
00:12:48 And you're treated differently by the defense.
00:12:50 I mean, when you're with that first group,
00:12:52 you're dealing with their best players from the jump.
00:12:55 And when you're coming off the bench,
00:12:57 you may or may not be dealing with them.
00:12:58 But to your point, John, even if you're
00:13:00 dealing with one of their better players,
00:13:01 you got three starters out there with you typically.
00:13:03 So the tension you're going to get
00:13:05 is not going to be as intense as it was in a game like this.
00:13:09 But that being said, he missed a lot of shots he normally makes.
00:13:12 So--
00:13:13 Yeah.
00:13:14 Oh, damn.
00:13:16 Why you got to come up with a watch for him?
00:13:18 Minor ID 85.
00:13:19 Damn.
00:13:20 Joe Prine.
00:13:21 It's kind of funny, though.
00:13:22 I go live.
00:13:24 Yeah.
00:13:24 Yeah, do you have kids?
00:13:25 Do you have kids?
00:13:30 No, Amit, I'm producer boy.
00:13:31 Do you have pets?
00:13:33 I'm producer boy.
00:13:35 John is--
00:13:35 Yeah.
00:13:36 I coined him that last show.
00:13:37 Where were you, Amit, when you should have
00:13:39 been paying attention last show?
00:13:40 Like, Amit's doing everything out there.
00:13:42 So I don't think that that's necessarily fair.
00:13:46 But what I will say, what we said--
00:13:49 maybe this is fair, maybe this is not fair.
00:13:51 We're bringing this back.
00:13:52 Amit, which one's up right now?
00:13:54 What?
00:13:55 Which one's up?
00:13:56 Final four bracket.
00:13:57 It's you got Tangway, DeVere, Luke Simmons,
00:13:59 Reza, I thought.
00:14:00 What are we voting on right now, Amit?
00:14:03 I don't know.
00:14:04 He's not paying attention.
00:14:05 Somebody in the chat can tell us.
00:14:07 Yeah, guys, what's in there right now?
00:14:09 We already did the votes on both of these.
00:14:11 No, we are splitting--
00:14:14 because the finals are Sunday.
00:14:15 So we are half and halving it again.
00:14:18 We're in the final four.
00:14:20 And we're going to put it up here one more time
00:14:23 to give a chance here.
00:14:24 He's your third center versus Blame Pie going up right now
00:14:27 in the Herman Gomez region.
00:14:29 He's your third center as a league.
00:14:31 If Blame Pie is-- if that's your thing,
00:14:34 you got about another 15 minutes to let it be known.
00:14:37 We're going to keep this thing up there
00:14:39 until about the 3 minute mark.
00:14:40 Blame Pie doesn't have a chance.
00:14:42 Blame Pie is an underdog.
00:14:44 Wow, they've been well.
00:14:46 I don't know how it got to this.
00:14:48 I don't know how they got here.
00:14:50 But he's your third center is under here.
00:14:52 Ad Girls and Farts My Dog means people don't like Jimmy.
00:14:56 Basically, Jimmy's losing right now is what it is.
00:14:59 Well, I'm basically he's your third center, John.
00:15:01 So you can suck it.
00:15:02 Fair enough.
00:15:03 But it's a Bobby-centric joke.
00:15:06 But you're right.
00:15:07 You own that one.
00:15:09 The delivery is the key.
00:15:11 But he's your third center is wrong right now.
00:15:14 That was a really good one, Sad Girls.
00:15:16 But I don't know if enough people caught onto it or not.
00:15:20 He's your third center is South Carolina.
00:15:23 They're a wagon right now.
00:15:24 Totally.
00:15:26 No, they're NC State.
00:15:28 Yeah, check this out, Jimmy.
00:15:32 That's correct.
00:15:33 Ooh.
00:15:34 Wow, Lord, after all we've been through.
00:15:37 That's fine.
00:15:38 Lord, I voted for you, man.
00:15:41 Yeah, I did.
00:15:42 And that's what I get.
00:15:44 I agree.
00:15:45 Farts My Dog should have won the whole thing.
00:15:47 Yeah, third center might be running away with it.
00:15:50 But you can absolutely head out there and vote.
00:15:53 We've got another little bit here
00:15:56 where this will continue on.
00:15:57 It's been a fun tournament.
00:15:59 He's your third center might be romping.
00:16:00 It's a lot tighter in the other region, in the Kevin Jelly
00:16:03 region.
00:16:04 So that one's going to come up in a little bit here as well.
00:16:07 Back to the game.
00:16:08 X-Man, outside of that game-winning shot,
00:16:11 which you know what's interesting about Tillman?
00:16:13 Tillman came in late to provide stability
00:16:16 during that while they were choking it up there.
00:16:19 Provide readiness.
00:16:20 I'm not putting the starters in.
00:16:22 I'm putting the X-Man back in.
00:16:23 That's what Joe did.
00:16:24 That was his move.
00:16:26 And it paid off.
00:16:27 But he had a good game otherwise doing lots of different things,
00:16:32 I thought.
00:16:33 Yeah, and they need that.
00:16:35 They're going to need him at some point in the playoffs.
00:16:37 It may only be for five minutes.
00:16:39 It could be for a game.
00:16:40 But they're going to need him to provide,
00:16:42 not necessarily what he did tonight, but just be impactful.
00:16:45 Whether it's rebounding, keeping balls alive,
00:16:47 knocking down game-winning shots, whatever the hell it
00:16:49 may be, just make your presence felt.
00:16:51 And he did a really good job of that when it absolutely needed it.
00:16:54 Louise, it absolutely is your fault.
00:16:57 It's literally your fault.
00:16:58 I put you in the tournament, and you just no-showed for like three
00:17:04 weeks, three weeks.
00:17:06 You think Biden or Trump aren't going to show up and vote?
00:17:10 Yeah, you're in the race.
00:17:12 You've got to at least vote for yourself here.
00:17:16 I like what Tillman gives him.
00:17:18 Cast the ballot, smile for the camera, walk off.
00:17:21 You know?
00:17:22 Yeah, Louise, I'm sorry.
00:17:23 It's OK.
00:17:25 Louise, 10-0 without Jalen Brown, by the way.
00:17:28 Oh, you had to bring that one up.
00:17:31 Damn it, you got to hunt that off camera.
00:17:33 I missed her.
00:17:33 I missed her.
00:17:35 I missed her.
00:17:37 Anyway, excellent.
00:17:39 I mean, I'll follow what Sherrod says.
00:17:41 I liked the trade when it happened.
00:17:43 I think that he's the guy that you'll see next year with an even bigger role.
00:17:47 He's kind of lumbering a little bit.
00:17:49 I feel like maybe it's just that I'm only watching YouTube
00:17:54 highlight reels, but I thought that I would have seen him a little bit more
00:17:58 athletic than what I've seen him out there.
00:18:00 But I still like what he provides.
00:18:02 I like the physicality.
00:18:03 I like that he can defend multiple positions like that.
00:18:05 And are they going to use him in the playoffs?
00:18:09 Hell if I know.
00:18:10 I mean, ideally, probably you don't see him too often.
00:18:14 But they traded for him as a fail safe, right?
00:18:19 Like this was like, break if there's an emergency situation, smash this button,
00:18:24 and Tillman might be able to keep you afloat.
00:18:27 So knock on wood, that situation doesn't arrive.
00:18:30 They've made it this far.
00:18:31 They haven't had any catastrophic injuries.
00:18:33 Again, I'm knocking on wood.
00:18:34 So you might not see Tillman a ton this playoff series.
00:18:37 But they made the trade in case something may have gone astray
00:18:43 on the way to the playoffs.
00:18:44 So I like that he can come in in spurts and defend and give you--
00:18:49 spell a guy, maybe.
00:18:50 Give him a few minutes.
00:18:51 Give him a breather if it's a physical game.
00:18:53 Other than that, I don't expect to see him, obviously,
00:18:56 in a situation where he's going to be hitting game-winning shots.
00:19:00 Yeah.
00:19:02 I don't either.
00:19:03 And someone put this up.
00:19:04 I mean, who didn't get toasted by Fox?
00:19:06 Yeah, deflake it.
00:19:07 I like that.
00:19:08 We talked about third center merchandise for sure.
00:19:10 Putting this comment up as well--
00:19:12 I'm going to text Nick.
00:19:13 I've mentioned this before.
00:19:19 Again, you're looking at things right now.
00:19:23 I definitely think the Celtics can
00:19:24 run into teams that are athletic and will give them
00:19:26 some troubles there.
00:19:28 And I do agree that Brown is the obvious plus athlete.
00:19:32 I'm not going to say the only one.
00:19:33 But he might be the separator between the rest of them.
00:19:37 This is something that we can definitely--
00:19:42 you'll keep an eye on.
00:19:43 You know the type of teams that bother the Celtics--
00:19:46 long, athletic, for sure.
00:19:48 And sometimes, depending on the personnel out there,
00:19:51 it's more prevalent than others.
00:19:54 Their starting lineup is so good and so long and so professional
00:19:57 that it doesn't really matter.
00:19:59 Guys, I got to take about a 30-second powder here.
00:20:03 So carry it, OK?
00:20:04 I'll be right back.
00:20:06 All right, Sherrod.
00:20:07 You're the game.
00:20:07 Jimmy wasn't ready for it.
00:20:08 Jimmy wasn't ready for it.
00:20:09 I'm ready for it.
00:20:10 What do you mean?
00:20:11 Sherrod's muted, I think.
00:20:13 Oh, I did.
00:20:14 I muted him.
00:20:14 It was a lot of background noise.
00:20:17 I got you, buddy.
00:20:18 You do it.
00:20:19 You do it.
00:20:20 There we go.
00:20:21 All right.
00:20:22 There we go.
00:20:23 All right.
00:20:23 Here we go.
00:20:24 Sherrod, you were at the game tonight.
00:20:26 Yep, still here.
00:20:27 We talked about Hauser for the wrong reasons.
00:20:30 What stood out to you?
00:20:31 I mean, I would say maybe in the first half.
00:20:34 Porzingis got things started.
00:20:36 Yeah.
00:20:37 I thought the guy was Pritchard.
00:20:38 I mean, his control and command of the game,
00:20:41 I thought, was really important as they
00:20:44 started to separate themselves a little bit from the Kings.
00:20:46 Because I just didn't think the Kings played with great force
00:20:50 or great sense of urgency.
00:20:51 And I didn't think the Celtics did either early on,
00:20:53 which is understandable.
00:20:54 I mean, they got the best record in the NBA.
00:20:56 They're not only that, but they're
00:20:58 going to finish the season with one
00:20:59 of the 10 best single season records in franchise history.
00:21:04 There's literally nothing of significant value for them
00:21:08 to be playing for in this game.
00:21:10 And yet, there they were, Pritchard specifically,
00:21:13 playing with the kind of urgency that you
00:21:15 need to win a game like this.
00:21:17 I thought he was on his way to having a 30-point game the way
00:21:19 he was knocking out shots early on.
00:21:22 And then when things got a little dicey,
00:21:23 I understand why Joe didn't bring his guys back in
00:21:27 at the very end.
00:21:28 Because Pritchard, at that point,
00:21:30 had earned a right to carry them to the finish line.
00:21:32 And he tried, and he just couldn't.
00:21:34 Sam couldn't make shots.
00:21:36 Pritchard was getting too deep in the paint,
00:21:38 getting himself swatted out.
00:21:39 And no one was really taking the bull by the horns
00:21:41 to carry this thing to the finish line other than X,
00:21:44 when it mattered most.
00:21:45 And even he had some hiccups during the fourth quarter.
00:21:48 But when it mattered most, he came through.
00:21:51 Yeah, and it's been either Pritchard or Hauser
00:21:54 as the guy that's kind of shined off that bench as of late.
00:21:58 And I mean, obviously, it's been like that
00:22:00 throughout the course of the season.
00:22:01 But I think we've talked about it on previous shows recently.
00:22:04 It feels like these guys have arrived to the capacity that,
00:22:08 in some cases, probably more so than we thought
00:22:11 at this stages of their career, early stages of their career,
00:22:14 to the point where you're not shaking your head like, no,
00:22:18 when they walk to the scorers table to check into the game.
00:22:21 You know what I mean?
00:22:22 They are part of the rotation.
00:22:23 And again, this is a bad night to be
00:22:25 talking about Hauser being in the rotation.
00:22:28 But you can go back to last week, or the week prior,
00:22:31 and he was practically going to break
00:22:33 the record for a three-pointer.
00:22:35 So this was a night where I can guarantee you
00:22:38 that if it's a playoff game, Hauser's not shooting one of 18.
00:22:41 He's not getting 18 looks, right?
00:22:42 But it's a game where he can--
00:22:46 He might not get eight looks.
00:22:47 Right, he can try to shoot himself out of a slump
00:22:49 without any issues.
00:22:50 And I'm sure Joe told him that, like, just keep shooting.
00:22:52 Just keep shooting.
00:22:53 Just keep shooting.
00:22:54 It was probably a joke at the end.
00:22:56 I'm sure they probably laughed it off.
00:22:58 But you still got to depend on guys like Hauser and Pritchard.
00:23:00 Love what Pritchard's been giving him, just the energy,
00:23:03 the hustle off the bench.
00:23:04 Never giving up on plays, fighting for rebounds.
00:23:08 Always has a chip on his-- he's a guy that just--
00:23:10 the rest of his career is just always going
00:23:11 to have a chip on his shoulder.
00:23:13 And that's how he honestly has to play, because he's not--
00:23:15 John, we talked about it.
00:23:17 He's not going to win on talent.
00:23:18 He's not going to win on, obviously, size.
00:23:20 He's going to win by playing harder than the other guys
00:23:24 out on the court.
00:23:24 And that's how he's gotten to this far in the NBA.
00:23:27 And that's honestly how he's going to keep going.
00:23:29 So the playoffs, everyone's intensity ramps up.
00:23:31 So it might be a little bit less noticeable,
00:23:34 because I think Pritchard goes balls to the walls
00:23:37 when other guys just simply aren't in the regular season.
00:23:39 And in the playoffs, that's probably not the case as much.
00:23:41 But he's still going to have an effect out there.
00:23:43 All the balls to the walls.
00:23:45 No, it's great.
00:23:46 Again, nothing-- I said it earlier.
00:23:49 No complaint about anything about Pritchard, who was great.
00:23:53 And again, he was getting hassled and doubled and harassed
00:23:56 late in the game there in that last five-minute stretch.
00:23:58 So I don't think there was a ton he could do.
00:24:00 And again, Hauser, just cold as can be.
00:24:02 For anyone concerned about where I just went right now,
00:24:05 my daughter was at the Celtics game.
00:24:06 She just got dropped off.
00:24:07 I had to make sure that she was good getting back in the house.
00:24:10 She almost got a tell.
00:24:12 She was there.
00:24:12 She was hanging out.
00:24:13 Yeah, but because it got close, they stayed till the very, very
00:24:17 end.
00:24:17 So they're just getting home now.
00:24:18 It's bedtime.
00:24:19 Soccer season starts tomorrow.
00:24:20 We got game one in the morning.
00:24:22 So she's got to get to bed there.
00:24:26 Anything else off this, guys?
00:24:28 I don't really know too many directions to take it.
00:24:33 Just was one of those games.
00:24:36 I don't know.
00:24:37 I don't know where else to go.
00:24:39 I can unmute Sherrod and see if he has a solution.
00:24:41 On this game, I mean, I don't have a lot of places
00:24:45 to go with it either.
00:24:47 We'll wait for Luke to talk for when Bobby gets here.
00:24:49 We had a good Luke stretch, really great Luke stretch.
00:24:52 It was.
00:24:53 It made one of his better stretches
00:24:55 we've seen all season.
00:24:56 And then poof, clock struck midnight.
00:24:59 Bye bye, Luke.
00:25:01 What happened?
00:25:01 Yeah, pretty much.
00:25:02 He just disappeared.
00:25:04 I mean, like, I don't think it was a matter of anything
00:25:07 other than that.
00:25:09 He just wasn't positioning himself
00:25:11 to be as impactful as he was doing that stretch.
00:25:13 He's your third center.
00:25:14 Yeah.
00:25:15 Sometimes third centers go away.
00:25:21 And then you get your fourth center.
00:25:23 Yeah, it's amazing.
00:25:26 This-- nothing has mattered for like two months.
00:25:31 It's freaking unbelievable.
00:25:33 Nothing.
00:25:34 The only thing that matters, again, what I will say
00:25:37 is one thing that matters, I know
00:25:38 we talked about elsewhere.
00:25:43 Philly sneaking out.
00:25:45 Philly potentially sneaking out of that 7-8
00:25:48 wouldn't be terrible.
00:25:49 Indiana comes up with a win tonight.
00:25:53 I know we talked about this.
00:25:56 And I know it's been talked about on the show
00:25:58 when Embiid came back.
00:26:00 I definitely think you don't want to play Philly.
00:26:04 And not because Philly is going to beat you.
00:26:06 And again, because this is where people lose
00:26:08 perspective on these things.
00:26:10 Like, if we say Philly is a bad matchup,
00:26:14 that doesn't mean they're going to beat the Celtics.
00:26:16 That means your typical 1-8, you're
00:26:19 going to win 95% of the time.
00:26:21 Historically, I think it's 94%, 5 out of 80
00:26:24 since they went to 16 teams or something like that.
00:26:28 So if Philly has a 15% to 20% chance, that's a bad matchup.
00:26:32 You know?
00:26:33 Whatever you put it at, that's all.
00:26:35 That's not great for a 1-8.
00:26:37 That's a team you'd want to be playing in a conference finals.
00:26:41 Whatever.
00:26:43 It's not a great matchup.
00:26:45 I don't think you want it.
00:26:47 There is something to be said about getting them early
00:26:49 before Embiid gets back into shape.
00:26:50 But I'm not going to--
00:26:51 guys, I think that's wishful thinking, too.
00:26:54 He's going to be in shape.
00:26:56 This is a perfect amount of ramp-up time
00:26:59 to get into decent shape.
00:27:00 He's not getting into much, much better shape than this.
00:27:03 Obviously, a little bit.
00:27:04 But it's not coming back with a week to go.
00:27:07 This is a pretty good ramp-up.
00:27:08 It's about a month.
00:27:10 It's going to be OK.
00:27:11 So it's not awesome.
00:27:13 It's not awesome.
00:27:15 It is what you want.
00:27:16 I think you want the heat.
00:27:17 I think you want Indiana.
00:27:18 I definitely don't think you want Philly here.
00:27:20 Well, the way I think this is going to play out
00:27:23 is that Philly is going to be one of the best number six
00:27:26 seeds that we've seen in a while.
00:27:29 And they could easily beat Cleveland.
00:27:30 But they're the eight right now.
00:27:32 They're the eight now.
00:27:32 But when all is said and done, I believe
00:27:34 they're going to rise up to six.
00:27:35 And if they are able to do that, you're
00:27:37 looking at them having to go through Cleveland and Milwaukee
00:27:40 to get to the conference finals.
00:27:41 And if you're the Celtics, that's
00:27:43 a best case scenario situation if you get to the finals.
00:27:45 And Philly, after having gone through a Cleveland
00:27:48 and a Milwaukee, they're going to be beat, battered,
00:27:53 and bruised big time.
00:27:54 So to me, that's the perfect storm.
00:27:56 That's the perfect scenario.
00:27:58 I don't think Philly is going to be in the playing game.
00:27:59 I just think that Joel Embiid is too talented to carry
00:28:02 that team beyond that.
00:28:05 And they're going to find a way to get that sixth spot.
00:28:09 I think I agree that they can and will.
00:28:12 And I think if memory serves, they
00:28:14 don't have a very tough schedule here.
00:28:16 So I think they could play their way out of it.
00:28:20 But yeah, it's definitely not great.
00:28:22 We talked about it, I think, last show.
00:28:25 You're getting a guy back in Embiid
00:28:26 who has the capabilities of being
00:28:28 the best player in the league.
00:28:29 Literally, it's really--
00:28:30 I don't fear anybody.
00:28:32 But yeah, this is the one--
00:28:34 You don't want to go six.
00:28:35 If you can avoid going six, you want to avoid going six.
00:28:38 If you can avoid banging around down low with one
00:28:44 of the best bigs in the league, then of course
00:28:46 you want to avoid that.
00:28:47 Philly has talent on that roster.
00:28:49 You guys will love this.
00:28:52 It's not that they have a weak schedule.
00:28:53 They have the weakest schedule in the NBA.
00:28:56 That's what I thought.
00:28:57 They've got Detroit, San Antonio, Memphis,
00:29:01 Brooklyn, and Orlando.
00:29:02 Orlando's the best team they're going to face the rest of the way.
00:29:05 That's it.
00:29:08 It would not be a stretch that they run the table.
00:29:11 Not a stretch.
00:29:12 So yeah, they'll want to be the sixth.
00:29:15 And Ubra's playing-- Maxi's been great.
00:29:20 Ubra's playing well.
00:29:21 It's not an awesome matchup.
00:29:23 Again, I think they play their way out of it.
00:29:25 And I think you have a much easier time
00:29:26 with whichever one of those other teams you end up with.
00:29:29 Even the PTSD of playing a Miami squad,
00:29:31 I think the Celtics are considerably better this year
00:29:34 and really have Miami's number.
00:29:36 I don't think any of the bullshit Spolster's
00:29:38 going to be able to try here is going
00:29:39 to make much of an impact.
00:29:41 Talked about, again, the way this game ended tonight.
00:29:44 Most saw it, for those who maybe kind of were watching some of it,
00:29:48 tuned in late, saw the score, and said, what?
00:29:52 Celtics blew a 21--
00:29:54 no, they were up 21.
00:29:56 Got outscored, I think, 21 to 3 down the stretch.
00:30:00 Win 101 to 100 on a offensive rebound and--
00:30:07 yeah, put back there by the X-Man.
00:30:11 Joe Mizzoula had the stay ready crew in from the midway point
00:30:16 of the fourth all the way through.
00:30:18 They couldn't get a record for about 540 or something like that.
00:30:22 And they won by a single point.
00:30:23 But they loved it.
00:30:25 Joe loved it.
00:30:25 Peyton Pritchard loved it.
00:30:28 Enjoyed it.
00:30:28 I mean, they had something they were fighting for.
00:30:31 I know our seating's pretty locked up.
00:30:34 But every opportunity we have, every game we have,
00:30:38 I don't like losing.
00:30:39 I don't think anybody likes losing.
00:30:40 So we're trying to win.
00:30:41 And obviously, we're working on things.
00:30:43 But winning is the biggest priority always.
00:30:45 And Porzingis talks about team chemistry,
00:30:47 where the regulars are on the sideline.
00:30:50 You guys are fighting to win this game.
00:30:52 Now it's a tight game.
00:30:53 They're out there cheering for you guys.
00:30:55 And you guys are out there executing.
00:30:56 What's that dynamic like?
00:30:59 It just shows that everybody's bought in.
00:31:03 Just because they ain't playing, they're
00:31:05 bought into helping us win from the sidelines, cheering.
00:31:09 And it just shows the chemistry of this team.
00:31:11 Shows the chemistry.
00:31:18 It's good.
00:31:19 Chemistry was kind of like this a little bit.
00:31:22 I think the bench was enjoying it, win or lose.
00:31:24 I don't think anybody's walking in there off of that.
00:31:26 It's much better vibes when you get the win there.
00:31:29 But I think people were like, all right, guys, go get it.
00:31:33 You can do it.
00:31:34 And I do think that was a good little chemistry boost there
00:31:42 for those guys.
00:31:43 Yeah, soft smiles.
00:31:45 Yeah, tell people quickly about our sponsor here.

00:33:06 You get a match right off the bat.
00:33:09 Speaking of action, we have a lot of it going on right now.
00:33:12 Because we have our March Madness tournament still in play.
00:33:16 And right now, we're switching things over.
00:33:20 I think it's over.
00:33:24 Even the He's Your Third Center put the Stay Ready crew in
00:33:27 and they still walked all over Blame Pie.
00:33:29 I think that one's it.
00:33:30 So we're over into the Kevin Jelly region.
00:33:32 Last chance to vote.
00:33:33 You Got Tanguayed versus Luke's Lemon Squares.
00:33:37 And that is--
00:33:38 That's a true one-two right there.
00:33:40 That's a true one-versus-two match up.
00:33:44 So I'm torn on that one.
00:33:47 I really loved when You Got Tanguayed
00:33:49 happened the first time.
00:33:52 And I would have loved for that to stick around.
00:33:54 But due to promo advertising reasons,
00:34:00 we can't keep playing it.
00:34:01 But it will live on.
00:34:03 It will still live on.
00:34:04 I think it will live on.
00:34:06 It was a fun--
00:34:07 it's a fun one.
00:34:07 But you can vote.
00:34:08 I think we should cut a Tanguayed cut from just,
00:34:11 yeah, just to come--
00:34:12 Yes.
00:34:13 Yes.
00:34:14 Just to make a bad take.
00:34:16 Yes.
00:34:17 Yeah.
00:34:19 Go Celtic.
00:34:20 [LAUGHTER]
00:34:23 [INAUDIBLE]
00:34:25 No, we don't have one.
00:34:26 [INAUDIBLE]
00:34:28 I thought we had one.
00:34:29 But anyway, so vote on that.
00:34:31 It's in the chat.
00:34:32 Both YouTube channels, you can jump back and forth
00:34:34 between the two.
00:34:35 Also, take this opportunity to say subscribe to the channels
00:34:39 if you haven't already.
00:34:41 Give them a like.
00:34:42 Do lots of things.
00:34:42 It's all good for us.
00:34:43 We do appreciate it.
00:34:44 Subscribe, unsubscribe, subscribe again.
00:34:46 When you do.
00:34:47 So I mean, I'm so bored--
00:34:49 not bored, but there's so little to look at going
00:34:53 on the stretch here.
00:34:53 What are we looking at right now?
00:34:55 We're looking at what's left.
00:34:58 We're looking at a lot of Xavier Tiffman.
00:35:02 We know we have Portland.
00:35:03 What's left?
00:35:05 Milwaukee, which is in hell right now.
00:35:08 And then who knows what.
00:35:10 We're going to get Thanasis Manning.
00:35:12 Are we going to get Thanasis himself next week?
00:35:16 He might be starting.
00:35:19 He might be the starting lineup.
00:35:20 He might be at this point, man.
00:35:22 Oh, gosh.
00:35:23 Charlotte and Washington to end the year.
00:35:26 Oh, my god.
00:35:28 Yeah.
00:35:29 That's pain.
00:35:31 We get Grant Williams' return, though.
00:35:33 Exactly.
00:35:33 We did Grant Payback game.
00:35:35 Get the video ready.
00:35:36 Grant will say something.
00:35:38 Grant will have one or two--
00:35:40 like, we're going to have two talking points about Grant
00:35:44 for our show.
00:35:45 Something from the court and something
00:35:47 from a pregame or postgame interview that we'll catch.
00:35:51 Yeah, I just hope we don't have to show them Xavier and Alfred.
00:35:53 The Washington game is going to be pain.
00:35:56 That's going to be a playoff preview, John.
00:35:58 We're not talking about the game.
00:35:59 We're talking about the playoff.
00:36:00 We should maybe-- we'll have it down to a better
00:36:04 idea of who they're going to be.
00:36:06 They still have to play the playing game, though.
00:36:08 So we still won't know who they're playing.
00:36:11 We will not know.
00:36:12 And there's a lot we don't know.
00:36:13 We don't know who is--
00:36:15 I mean, it's so interesting here,
00:36:18 because we're talking about Philly a little bit.
00:36:20 And we'll bring in Bobby Manning and let him get a--
00:36:22 discuss the game a little bit.
00:36:24 But I mean, if you're looking at the playoffs here,
00:36:26 your second round--
00:36:28 I mean, who knows what you're getting here.
00:36:30 But you've got some teams that are a freaking mess right now.
00:36:33 The Knicks are toast.
00:36:36 And we know that.
00:36:37 Orlando, I don't know if they're serious or not
00:36:41 and what they want to be when they grow up.
00:36:44 I'm not sure they're ready yet.
00:36:47 Pacers, again, they could be in a play-in for sure.
00:36:50 I mean, Philly might be the toughest--
00:36:53 first or second toughest team in the entire East
00:36:56 for the Celtics right now.
00:36:57 I mean, does that seem ridiculous?
00:37:00 Miami's a mess.
00:37:01 I mean, Miami.
00:37:02 Milwaukee's a mess.
00:37:03 I'm going to walk that one back a little.
00:37:05 I always thought--
00:37:07 I thought there's a flip--
00:37:09 like a switch to flip.
00:37:11 And/or they haven't been super serious either.
00:37:15 I mean, they're now--
00:37:16 I mean, first of all, Doc's making
00:37:18 every excuse imaginable outside of blaming himself.
00:37:22 They have a trainer under the bus.
00:37:23 Are they quitting?
00:37:24 The trainer.
00:37:24 The trainer and the staff isn't professional
00:37:27 when we go on the road.
00:37:29 And people aren't serious.
00:37:31 Like, Doc's doing that shit that people don't like,
00:37:33 which is taking shots publicly.
00:37:35 Yeah, everybody gets their finger.
00:37:37 Everyone behind the scenes, they're a mess.
00:37:40 So Bobby, I don't know.
00:37:41 We'll get into a little playoff stuff in a little bit.
00:37:44 But like, Doc is throwing everyone--
00:37:47 like you said--
00:37:47 What he does.
00:37:48 He's not throwing everybody under the bus.
00:37:50 He's literally blaming the bus driver.
00:37:52 He's blaming everybody he possibly can.
00:37:55 We'll get to that in a minute.
00:37:56 Bobby, give us some takes on this game.
00:37:58 You were down there and in the locker room
00:38:00 and talking to these guys.
00:38:02 Yeah, it was interesting watching the fourth,
00:38:05 obviously.
00:38:06 It looked like it could get away,
00:38:07 and it did when they lost the lead right before the buzzer
00:38:12 there, the final shot Tillman hit.
00:38:14 So that would have been interesting, right?
00:38:16 I don't know where we would have sat
00:38:18 and what we would have thought of that.
00:38:20 It wouldn't have meant a ton if they actually went and blew it.
00:38:23 But it would have been a risk that didn't quite pay off
00:38:26 for Joe.
00:38:26 And in the end, it ends up being a good story.
00:38:29 Everyone's going to write that he believed in them
00:38:31 and they came through story.
00:38:32 But it was ugly.
00:38:33 21 to 1.
00:38:35 The offense was a mess.
00:38:37 They couldn't get into anything, really.
00:38:39 And defensively, Fox just kept going by guys.
00:38:42 And listen, I think we're all fine with the starters
00:38:45 staying on the bench there.
00:38:46 It's that time of year.
00:38:47 They need the rest.
00:38:48 And this game effectively means nothing there.
00:38:50 But the stay ready crew wasn't very ready down the stretch
00:38:56 there.
00:38:56 So that was tough.
00:38:57 But overall, I think a good game.
00:39:00 Got into some zone in the third.
00:39:01 Things slipped up a little bit there,
00:39:03 and they got themselves right.
00:39:04 I thought Porzingis, again, awesome game from him.
00:39:07 It's great to see him looking healthy and himself
00:39:09 going into the postseason.
00:39:11 I thought Joe Holiday was really good down
00:39:13 the stretch of the game, passing the ball with more on-ball
00:39:16 opportunities.
00:39:17 So all in all, I think pretty good.
00:39:19 And I think the big thing right now, John,
00:39:21 is they're trying everything.
00:39:23 Any look defensively you can go to,
00:39:26 any lineup you can go to, they used every double big
00:39:28 combination pretty much this whole game.
00:39:30 So it's the kind of stuff you're doing this time of year.
00:39:34 You have time here to do this.
00:39:35 I don't think anyone's going to play Sunday.
00:39:37 So these guys better get ready to win another game.
00:39:41 Yeah.
00:39:42 What's up, Joe Sway?
00:39:44 What's up, fellas?
00:39:47 How we doing?
00:39:48 OK.
00:39:48 Just making sure you heard me.
00:39:50 It's like, damn.
00:39:51 What do you mean, just making sure?
00:39:53 I thought you were saying hi to me, Jimmy.
00:39:54 Damn it.
00:39:54 I was.
00:39:55 Fake 90 being fake 90.
00:39:56 I said, what's up?
00:39:57 I took you like a minute to respond.
00:39:59 I was like, getting nervous that you didn't hear me.
00:40:02 I had to unmute my mic.
00:40:03 But yeah, no, I just listened to what Bobby had to say.
00:40:06 And yeah, I don't think anyone would
00:40:07 have been happy to see the Stars come back in and have
00:40:10 to clean up that mess.
00:40:11 This was a great opportunity for those guys.
00:40:13 I mean, this is that time of year, like Bobby just said.
00:40:16 And I feel like this is--
00:40:20 you can't discredit the Sacramento Kings, man.
00:40:23 That's a thing.
00:40:24 Like, Bobby, we talked about this
00:40:25 before the game on our hit sponsored by Price Picks
00:40:28 about how they make comebacks.
00:40:31 That's what they've been doing all year.
00:40:33 I know the record isn't as pretty compared
00:40:35 to the rest of the Western Conference.
00:40:37 I mean, clearly, they're trying to--
00:40:39 they got playoff implications coming into this one.
00:40:41 So this one mattered a lot to them.
00:40:43 And I think the Boston South, Joe Mazzullo and the coaching
00:40:45 staff, they knew that.
00:40:46 And they thought that this was a great challenge.
00:40:48 I honestly think, because we know Joe,
00:40:51 the way he's been all year long, I
00:40:52 don't think he would have had it any other way for this thing
00:40:55 to come out the way it did, and play out the way it did,
00:40:57 rather.
00:40:57 And for them to lose that big lead
00:41:00 and then have to hit the game winner at the end, Tillman,
00:41:02 with the comeback on a second chance opportunity,
00:41:05 Sam Houser going ice cold.
00:41:07 But that didn't deter his confidence from shooting.
00:41:09 He eventually connected on one and spoke to Peyton Pritchard
00:41:13 after this game.
00:41:14 And he says that, man, he's probably
00:41:15 going to go 10 for 10 in the next two games,
00:41:16 because that's the kind of--
00:41:17 that's what the ball averages say.
00:41:19 And that's something we obviously saw earlier this year
00:41:22 before he unfortunately went down with an injury.
00:41:24 But yeah, I thought this was a great test
00:41:28 for the second unit, and especially guys
00:41:30 like Peyton Pritchard.
00:41:31 Facts, my dog.
00:41:36 Oh, Jimmy.
00:41:37 Oh, damn it, Jimmy.
00:41:38 I knew that was coming.
00:41:39 I was waiting for Bobby to chime in, because--
00:41:41 listen, me, Sherrod, and John, we've already
00:41:43 said everything about this game.
00:41:44 So I want to hear from Bobby and Joe.
00:41:46 Yeah, we'll hear from-- you guys lead it here.
00:41:49 All right, Bobby, let's go.
00:41:51 40 minutes in.
00:41:52 What's going on, guys?
00:41:53 This isn't--
00:41:54 This game was fucking tough, man.
00:41:58 Bobby, what'd you-- Bobby, we gave Lucas Flowers
00:42:01 for a really good run there in that second quarter.
00:42:04 What'd you think of X-Man tonight?
00:42:05 Not just the game winner, but just his overall play.
00:42:08 Yeah, I've been saying for a couple of weeks
00:42:10 now he looks like he's getting comfortable out there.
00:42:12 I think the three in the corner looks good,
00:42:14 even though it's not going down defensively.
00:42:16 It's a tough moment going against Fox on the other side.
00:42:20 He's expected to go against a guy like that.
00:42:23 So he's been capable defensively,
00:42:27 and he's given himself on that end.
00:42:28 And offensively, he's looking for his spot to contribute.
00:42:31 And he can knock down that floater around the rim.
00:42:34 That wasn't a crazy shot by his standards there.
00:42:38 He's capable of that.
00:42:39 And he drove into it.
00:42:40 And that's actually, I think, emblematic
00:42:42 of how they could start using him a little bit more
00:42:44 on that end.
00:42:46 He's not the best post-up center.
00:42:48 He doesn't have a ton of moves he can get to down there.
00:42:50 And you're really not going to use him in that way,
00:42:53 especially in double big looks.
00:42:54 He's not a three-point shooter.
00:42:57 So I think you want to get him that running
00:42:59 start toward the basket.
00:43:00 He's done it a couple of times over the last week or two
00:43:03 here, where he's left a million miles between himself
00:43:06 and the basket on the perimeter.
00:43:08 And he just sort of takes that space and drives and tosses up
00:43:11 a nice floater.
00:43:12 And he does have good touch on that.
00:43:13 So I think that shot, even though it
00:43:16 came after a really bad run and was pretty random in itself
00:43:20 with Hauser tipping out his own miss,
00:43:23 I think it was emblematic of where he can find his shot.
00:43:25 Just be a threat out there, because you
00:43:27 have to be a threat.
00:43:27 If he's going to play in the playoffs,
00:43:29 he can't be a guy that teams ignore,
00:43:31 because that's just destructive to an offense.
00:43:33 And that's why I've given Luke the edge over him
00:43:35 the whole way, is that Luke can be a threat out there
00:43:38 in a variety of ways offensively.
00:43:40 Xavier is a little tougher, especially when he
00:43:42 is playing that four position.
00:43:43 So the three's got to start going down.
00:43:46 He's got to get into that floater, driving hooks,
00:43:49 whatever he can do out there to just be a threat,
00:43:51 get to the free throw line, grab offensive boards.
00:43:54 I know he's been an amazing defender in his time
00:43:57 here for the most part.
00:43:58 But I think on this team, you have to play both ways.
00:44:01 On a championship run, you have to play both ways
00:44:03 to be able to get out there.
00:44:05 So we'll see.
00:44:09 Yeah.
00:44:12 Again, I think we kind of all agree there.
00:44:15 Like Luke, Cornette, I'm not going
00:44:18 to say break glass in case of emergency.
00:44:21 But they're definitely going to play sparingly,
00:44:24 matchup driven, when the situation calls for it,
00:44:27 when the game calls for whatever it is that they have.
00:44:29 But I don't know what you're going to see out of those guys
00:44:33 there.
00:44:34 But I'm going to say the people in the Stay Ready crew now,
00:44:40 I think the Stay Ready crew has shrunk to about two people.
00:44:44 And it's probably Luke and Tillman,
00:44:46 in terms of what you're going to expect in the playoffs.
00:44:48 And that's probably all you need there.
00:44:50 No, but Ethan Brissett?
00:44:52 No.
00:44:53 I think Brissett's a foul trouble guy.
00:44:56 He might find his way into a game or two.
00:44:58 He's definitely not part of their plans.
00:45:02 But I don't think so at all.
00:45:03 Real quick, we want to tell people actually, you know what?
00:45:07 Oh.
00:45:08 Oh, he's got a hat too.
00:45:09 Look at that.
00:45:10 They got the hat too.
00:45:11 OK.
00:45:12 About PXG, another sponsor here at the Garden Report
00:45:16 on top of this.
00:45:18 Yeah, give him a second, Jimmy.
00:45:19 He's got to read.

00:46:42 Guys, where do you want to go next?
00:46:45 Dealer's Choice.
00:46:46 Dealer's Choice.
00:46:51 I like that.
00:46:51 I like how I walked into that conversation.
00:46:53 If we could revisit that.
00:46:55 How about Drew?
00:46:57 What about him?
00:46:59 He was awesome.
00:46:59 I really liked his game tonight.
00:47:00 Yeah.
00:47:01 I thought he made phenomenal passes.
00:47:03 Yeah.
00:47:03 And he ran some great sets in that third quarter.
00:47:06 There was a play where Tatum dove off ball around a Porzingis
00:47:09 green and he found him.
00:47:10 There was another play where they sort of set it up
00:47:12 primarily and Porzingis got downhill out of it
00:47:15 and Holliday found him again.
00:47:17 And then that three Porzingis hit that basically broke
00:47:21 the game open there was Holliday's seventh assist
00:47:24 and I think three quarters.
00:47:25 So he's capable on the ball.
00:47:28 And we haven't seen it much this year.
00:47:29 But he's able to make some great passes out
00:47:32 of that point position.
00:47:33 And he just hasn't gotten the opportunity much this year.
00:47:37 And I know Tatum's going to have the ball in white and brown
00:47:40 and all the way down the lines.
00:47:41 So there isn't much left for him.
00:47:43 But I think it's something you have to get to a little bit.
00:47:46 Maybe in a lineup, maybe into a second unit
00:47:49 because he's dynamic out there with the ball in his hands.
00:47:51 He makes some great passes.
00:47:52 And there is a little bit of the Marcus
00:47:54 there where he'll make an awesome pass
00:47:57 and then he'll just throw the ball into a crowd of guys
00:48:00 and lose it.
00:48:01 So I think that's probably a little bit why
00:48:03 they lean less on that compared to some of the other ball
00:48:06 handlers out there.
00:48:07 But with Tatum's issues at times and Brown
00:48:11 turning the ball over at different points,
00:48:13 it's something you need to be able to get to in spots.
00:48:15 Well, yeah, he keeps things moving too.
00:48:19 We're not spending time on it because it's a throwaway game.
00:48:21 But Tatum sucked tonight.
00:48:22 He was such a ball stopper.
00:48:24 I hated everything that he did.
00:48:26 And Holiday on a couple of occasions
00:48:27 tried to get him the ball closer to the basket
00:48:31 and to get him moving.
00:48:32 He almost willed it to happen.
00:48:33 So I thought that that was good.
00:48:35 Other things interesting about Holiday to me,
00:48:37 again, on a night where you don't have Derek White and Jalen
00:48:40 Brown, both of whom are shot creators for this offense,
00:48:45 certainly Brown, but even White taking things
00:48:49 into his own hands, this could have been a Holiday throwback
00:48:51 game where he's like, you know what?
00:48:53 And there was a period of time he was out there.
00:48:55 He was the only guy who had any chance of generating offense.
00:48:58 And it shows even in little flashes what he can do.
00:49:01 I would say every made field goal was something
00:49:04 that he made on his own.
00:49:05 Whether it's driving to the left,
00:49:07 it's such an interesting weapon that he's got where he can just
00:49:10 get these lefty leaners and floaters off the glass.
00:49:13 I know he's more comfortable going there.
00:49:15 But his ability to do that, he's in the post.
00:49:17 And then just a couple of times, step back three,
00:49:19 above the break, not even in the corner where he's hitting 60%.
00:49:23 And he's knocking those things down.
00:49:25 A baseline fadeaway as well was among those five field goals.
00:49:31 It's just he's got that in his bag.
00:49:34 It's so-- Bobby, you shared that profile
00:49:38 by Miren Fader in the ringer just
00:49:40 about the kind of sacrifice and what's going through this year.
00:49:43 I would say, you know, we joked about guys
00:49:47 talking about sacrificing who didn't really
00:49:49 sacrifice all that much.
00:49:50 Holiday has sacrificed a crap ton to be able to put himself
00:49:54 in a position--
00:49:55 Maybe as much as anybody in the league.
00:49:57 Yeah, as much as anybody in the league in a contract year
00:50:01 with no hint of bitterness, resentment, concern, ego,
00:50:08 nothing, nothing at all.
00:50:12 He's great.
00:50:13 I think he's been--
00:50:15 I know people have kind of--
00:50:16 some people are in and out on him.
00:50:17 Some people might even think, like, is he getting old?
00:50:20 Because you're not seeing big explosions in 27-point games.
00:50:23 Yeah, I think it's opportunity and usage.
00:50:26 He's been consistently good all year long.
00:50:30 What do you make of his defense?
00:50:31 What do you think of his defense tonight?
00:50:35 I think it's great every night.
00:50:36 Nothing stood out out of your norm.
00:50:38 Fox is difficult. I mean, what are you going to do there?
00:50:40 Yeah, I was going to say, man, Fox is cooking.
00:50:44 I mean, that's the thing, man.
00:50:46 When this trade went down and a lot of stuff,
00:50:48 his fans were so obviously excited because it happened
00:50:51 after the Porzingis deal.
00:50:52 Obviously, some of those were going into a direction
00:50:54 where they were going all in, putting all their chips
00:50:57 and everything into the game.
00:50:59 How many times are people like, oh, Marcus is gone.
00:51:03 There's Drew.
00:51:03 Drew's the lockdown guy.
00:51:04 He's just as good or even better than Marcus.
00:51:06 But let's forget how he's a bit older now.
00:51:09 I'm not saying he's over the hill completely,
00:51:11 but let's face it here.
00:51:13 He's not the same defender that won a championship
00:51:15 a few years ago.
00:51:15 So I just think when nights like this happen,
00:51:18 it's a nice reminder of, I don't know, maybe the Tyrese
00:51:21 Maxis or the guards that could be in the Celtics'
00:51:26 playoff path to the finals.
00:51:29 And if they have nights like that,
00:51:31 it puts the Celtics in a tough spot.
00:51:33 I mean, this has happened throughout the season
00:51:35 where one of the opposing guards goes off in a comeback game
00:51:41 like this one, and the Celtics all of a sudden,
00:51:43 they don't know how to stop the bleeding.
00:51:44 I saw a little bit of that, especially
00:51:46 with the starters in there when he went off right
00:51:47 before halftime in that second quarter.
00:51:50 Yeah, and they do need to get back on bigs.
00:51:53 But he's not used as that guy, though, Joe Sway.
00:51:56 He's not the guy you're just putting on that guy
00:51:59 and saying, stick him.
00:52:00 He's there--
00:52:01 Right, no, I get it, but I just feel like--
00:52:03 --to be able to switch to quarterback the defense.
00:52:05 Yeah.
00:52:06 Right, I just feel like opposing teams,
00:52:08 they're going to try to explore those matchups.
00:52:10 You know what I mean?
00:52:11 I just feel like in the playoffs, when things get slower
00:52:13 and a guard is going off and the Celtics are trying
00:52:19 to slow them down, I don't think it's always Drew
00:52:21 that's that guy.
00:52:22 You know what I mean?
00:52:24 No, I've seen it.
00:52:26 Yeah, there's been situations, too.
00:52:27 White gets cooked, too.
00:52:28 And White's in line for top--
00:52:30 I'm sorry, Jimmy, but White's first or second team
00:52:32 all defense, he's not keeping those guys in front of him.
00:52:35 I don't think he's keeping them either.
00:52:36 Yeah, he does a better job.
00:52:38 So he'll get those assignments.
00:52:39 But I think when push comes to shove
00:52:41 and you're playing the smaller lineup,
00:52:42 Drew's going to be guarding bigger guys,
00:52:44 as he did to start the year, and Bede, Giannis.
00:52:46 You saw him guard all those guys,
00:52:48 as well as Bam in the opening weeks of the season,
00:52:50 and do an amazing job with it.
00:52:52 Jimmy, what were you saying?
00:52:55 No, I mean, I was going to say, we've always said,
00:52:57 great offense beats great defense.
00:52:59 Drew's going to do everything he can to limit guys.
00:53:01 And great communicator out there.
00:53:03 I trust him on both sides of the court
00:53:06 to make the right decision.
00:53:07 But he's had trouble with some of the shiftier guards
00:53:10 and the guys that are--
00:53:11 Uh-oh, don't say that.
00:53:14 --a little bit quicker.
00:53:15 Why?
00:53:16 Because he's going to tell us--
00:53:17 He might have some true sports press on the radio.
00:53:20 Oh, oh, oh.
00:53:21 He's going to blame Sherrod.
00:53:22 That's how the whole thing's going to shoot.
00:53:23 You just found Sherrod dirty.
00:53:24 Yeah, exactly.
00:53:25 Exactly.
00:53:25 Yeah, exactly.
00:53:26 Shiftier guards.
00:53:28 But his physicality, he can defend bigger guys a lot
00:53:31 better than most guards can.
00:53:32 And I mean, I still trust him out there guarding
00:53:35 the best guys in the league.
00:53:36 But yeah, to your point, Josue, there
00:53:37 are going to be those quick--
00:53:40 I guess maybe quick's a better word-- some really quick guards
00:53:42 that sometimes can get past him.
00:53:45 And again, that's what he does.
00:53:48 Yeah, that's--
00:53:49 Yeah, I mean, Fox, you're talking about top three
00:53:53 quickness in terms of for guards.
00:53:56 So you almost-- and plus, Jimmy, the other thing, too,
00:53:59 about this game that I think we can't overlook
00:54:01 was the fact that they literally had nothing to play for.
00:54:04 And Joe called off the troops way earlier than he normally
00:54:09 would in a game.
00:54:10 I mean, they were at, what, 12-14 when he decided that,
00:54:13 yeah, we're just going to let the stay-ready crew do
00:54:15 the thing.
00:54:16 And--
00:54:16 That contrast, Sherrod.
00:54:18 That's not going to happen.
00:54:19 That's not going to happen in the playoffs.
00:54:21 In the fourth quarter, watching a third unit
00:54:25 play against a playoff team fighting for positioning,
00:54:29 it was crazy.
00:54:29 You're going to get cooked.
00:54:31 You don't see that.
00:54:31 You're going to get cooked.
00:54:33 No.
00:54:33 You don't.
00:54:35 No.
00:54:35 So they were-- I mean, they were doomed to get cooked
00:54:37 at that point, because Sacramento, they smell blood.
00:54:41 And they needed this game way more than the Celtics did,
00:54:44 because they don't want that play-in-game smoke.
00:54:47 They don't.
00:54:48 So--
00:54:49 They don't.
00:54:50 Yeah, and they're probably going to be there.
00:54:52 The West is crazy.
00:54:53 They're going to be in a play-in-game.
00:54:54 Yeah, and they just don't look like a team that has figured
00:54:57 out how to close out.
00:54:58 And they don't play with a sense of urgency.
00:55:00 I mean, they just were kind of sea walking,
00:55:03 it felt like, the first half of this game.
00:55:04 Oh, yeah.
00:55:05 The Celtics--
00:55:05 First quarter change.
00:55:07 They killed themselves here.
00:55:09 Yeah.
00:55:09 You know, they're in deep trouble.
00:55:13 So I don't know.
00:55:15 We'll see what happens here.
00:55:16 There's a lot about the Celtics, though.
00:55:16 Holding a team like that to 100, they've
00:55:18 done some great things defensively
00:55:20 over the last week or two here.
00:55:21 And it's been impressive.
00:55:24 I think they're doing the perfect thing here
00:55:28 in terms of gaining momentum into the playoffs, which
00:55:32 is going to be difficult because they'll probably have a week
00:55:34 off in that play-in stretch there.
00:55:37 But also arresting guys and getting the recovery they want.
00:55:39 Were you satisfied with Joe's answer on Jalen pregame, John?
00:55:45 I mean, I don't know.
00:55:47 Not really.
00:55:47 He basically said what you said.
00:55:51 He's fine.
00:55:52 Downplayed it, yeah.
00:55:53 I mean, that's what I said.
00:55:54 He has no reason to be fully transparent
00:55:58 about the whole thing.
00:55:59 Let's be honest here.
00:56:00 Because like you just said, I mean,
00:56:01 the playoffs are still a couple of weeks away.
00:56:03 And whatever he's dealing with could get exponentially better
00:56:07 in the next couple of weeks.
00:56:08 So I just think whether it was complete truth or not,
00:56:10 I mean, that's sort of what you're going to get.
00:56:12 That's the kind of response you're going to get from Joe.
00:56:14 Or most head coach.
00:56:15 I asked him if there's any chance
00:56:17 to put him on ice the rest of the way.
00:56:19 And he said no.
00:56:20 So he should be back.
00:56:22 This is probably just a one-off rest night.
00:56:23 But it's weird that he's saying--
00:56:26 Jalen's saying sprain, strain, something
00:56:28 he's going to have to manage down the stretch here.
00:56:30 And Joe, multiple times now, has said he's fine.
00:56:34 So I don't know.
00:56:35 Like John said, he might just be fine.
00:56:37 And maybe it's just something that's
00:56:38 impacting him more mentally than anything else, the pain
00:56:41 or whatever he's dealing with there.
00:56:42 Yeah, I'm sticking to my guns on that.
00:56:44 Like, I believe that it's bothering him.
00:56:50 So I believe he's sincere in that.
00:56:53 But I believe it's been diagnosed as not
00:56:55 a thing that is a concern.
00:56:57 So Jalen throwing, I don't know, strain or sprain,
00:57:01 meaning like, I don't know.
00:57:02 They told me nothing.
00:57:03 But it's obviously something.
00:57:05 And so it doesn't matter.
00:57:08 They looked at it as a strain, I think.
00:57:10 Yeah, that's fine.
00:57:11 A strain means literally nothing.
00:57:14 But it's fine.
00:57:16 It's fine.
00:57:18 It doesn't seem like it's a real thing.
00:57:19 I'm not even--
00:57:23 I'm not even--
00:57:24 No, they said sprain.
00:57:25 Sprain, not sprain.
00:57:27 They did?
00:57:28 Yeah.
00:57:28 So now they're saying sprain?
00:57:31 Yes.
00:57:32 That's what the injury report said.
00:57:35 That's what the surgery report said.
00:57:38 All right, what's going on?
00:57:39 Now his antennas are up.
00:57:41 PA announcer in the background.
00:57:44 All right, so yeah, so we're going to wrap it again.
00:57:47 Get your votes in.
00:57:49 Get your votes in if you guys want them on the bracket.
00:57:51 We are running out of time there.
00:57:53 Other than that, the finals are on Sunday.
00:57:55 And we have another game on Sunday.
00:57:57 And we'll be back for that.
00:57:58 Guys, closing thoughts before we wrap it here?
00:58:01 We'll let everybody go watch the fourth quarter of Iowa UConn?
00:58:05 Yeah, that's a good idea.
00:58:06 Closing thoughts, I'm glad Hauser got this game off
00:58:10 his chest.
00:58:11 Out of his system.
00:58:12 Everyone needs a Thanasis Manning night.
00:58:15 And that's what's this.
00:58:17 Everyone needs a little Thanasis Manning in their life,
00:58:19 Jimmy, is that what you're saying?
00:58:20 Yeah, they need just one.
00:58:21 Just one night of it.
00:58:23 Just get it out.
00:58:26 Oh, boy.
00:58:28 That's my final thought.
00:58:29 Give me more of the second unit crew, man.
00:58:32 Get these guys going.
00:58:33 You want more after that?
00:58:35 I want more, especially-- well, I guess the Blazers, Jimmy.
00:58:37 Why not?
00:58:38 I mean, Sunday we're talking about, right?
00:58:40 So yeah, give me more rest for Pritchard, Hauser.
00:58:44 Maybe it's good for four or five free throws.
00:58:46 We'll see what Price pick says.
00:58:48 But yeah, more of the same, honestly.
00:58:50 I thought this was a great test for these guys,
00:58:52 for the whole team.
00:58:53 And then in that fourth quarter for the second unit.
00:58:56 So carry that momentum into the next one.
00:58:59 And yeah, let's see if they can defend better as well.
00:59:02 That's what's going to matter most in the playoffs for sure.
00:59:05 I think the offense and all that,
00:59:06 that's going to come naturally.
00:59:07 Sam Hauser, Peyton Pritchard, I'm
00:59:09 not worried about those guys' offense.
00:59:10 I just want to see if this team can defend at a higher level,
00:59:13 especially the second unit.
00:59:15 More X.
00:59:17 More X.
00:59:18 I want to send a shout out to--
00:59:20 Yeah, more X.
00:59:21 Why don't we play this Sunday?
00:59:23 Bobby's got a shout out.
00:59:24 Hold on.
00:59:24 Bobby's got a shout out.
00:59:26 Shout out to the Maine Celtics, who
00:59:29 are heading to the East finals.
00:59:33 Big win last night, 18-16 for Kata.
00:59:36 That's not what I thought was coming.
00:59:39 Kata was a false shot in the game tonight.
00:59:41 JD Davison came back.
00:59:43 I have a feeling I think we're going to see Kata grab
00:59:47 that 15th spot by the end of the year.
00:59:49 He had a great season up here, finishing strong down there.
00:59:52 He hit a hook shot from the free throw line last night
00:59:55 up there.
00:59:56 I think he hit 18-16.
00:59:57 So I think Kata, last day of the season--
01:00:01 Hook shot's coming back.
01:00:02 He gets paid for a day?
01:00:04 He's going to get that one day payday and playoff--
01:00:07 That's a payday, a literal payday.
01:00:10 That's going to put him in the tax bracket.
01:00:11 What do you mean?
01:00:12 What's he make that day, do we know?
01:00:15 What are we talking?
01:00:16 Minimum's like $2 million.
01:00:17 So it's like 1/82 out of $2 million.
01:00:22 All right, that's still a decent question.
01:00:23 And Bobby, what will he be Jimmy when he arrives?
01:00:29 He's a fifth center.
01:00:31 [LAUGHTER]
01:00:35 You had to put the problem.
01:00:38 I think we're talking a good 25K, Jimmy.
01:00:42 OK.
01:00:44 That's like--
01:00:44 The center bullpen, he runs it.
01:00:46 That's like one ommit night at the club.
01:00:50 Oh, wow, Jimmy.
01:00:53 First, Josue was winning for 18 at the club,
01:00:55 and now you got ommit shots.
01:00:57 Wow.
01:00:57 Yikes.
01:00:58 Man, Josue, what?
01:01:00 You missed a shot that we--
01:01:03 somebody took it at the beginning of the show.
01:01:05 You redeemed Sam Houser level of effective at the bars.
01:01:11 We're going one for 18.
01:01:13 One for 18.
01:01:14 What's that got to do with me?
01:01:15 Wait, hold on.
01:01:17 Why is it one for 18?
01:01:19 How does that--
01:01:20 Well, Houser went one for 18, and I said,
01:01:23 that's like Josue number one at the bar.
01:01:25 I said, that's Josue number one.
01:01:27 Oh, wow.
01:01:28 That's you, Josue.
01:01:30 Wow.
01:01:31 Sherrod backing it up.
01:01:34 No, I'm backing up what he said.
01:01:36 I'm not agreeing with him.
01:01:37 I'm simply asserting that that's what he said.
01:01:40 Oh, OK.
01:01:40 I would have said--
01:01:41 I would have said Josue scored maybe one for eight.
01:01:44 One for eight.
01:01:45 One for 18, dude.
01:01:46 But as John pointed out, all it takes is one.
01:01:50 All it takes is one.
01:01:52 All it takes is one, and you're successful.
01:01:54 This was a successful show on a night
01:01:56 that there was next to nothing to talk about,
01:01:58 because there's nothing to talk about.
01:02:00 But the Celtics hang on and win.
01:02:03 16-1 and 16.
01:02:05 They have a 14-game lead on the Bucs now, who just lost again.
01:02:14 Yeah, who lost again.
01:02:16 It's a right.
01:02:17 It's a right.
01:02:17 It was right.
01:02:18 Because the ice cubes in the locker room
01:02:20 were round instead of square, and that's
01:02:22 why they lost tonight, OK?
01:02:24 Yeah, they can always round one.
01:02:26 And it was-- the Gatorade was blue instead of yellow.
01:02:30 And--
01:02:30 Bad Wi-Fi.
01:02:31 Bad Wi-Fi arena.
01:02:32 There's bad Wi-Fi arena.
01:02:33 So that was a factor, too, clearly.
01:02:35 Couldn't get the game.
01:02:36 Go watch some women's college basketball.
01:02:38 What's the score, you know?
01:02:39 51 apiece.
01:02:41 Oh, wow.
01:02:41 Entering the fourth quarter.
01:02:43 Also--
01:02:44 Yeah, I've been watching this whole time.
01:02:46 Keep it on this channel.
01:02:47 Bobby and Josue will be back in a little bit.
01:02:49 They're going to do a live after-hours Garden Report
01:02:51 from the court, talking it through,
01:02:54 some of the details, the nitty gritty of the game.
01:02:56 And yes, no Giannis tonight.
01:02:57 That is what happened.
01:02:59 But great game going on, college basketball.
01:03:01 Check it out.
01:03:02 Subscribe, turn on your notifications.
01:03:04 Bobby and Josue are going to be back with more basketball
01:03:06 talk in a little bit.
01:03:08 We are going to see you on Sunday.
01:03:10 Thank you guys for hanging out.
01:03:11 Again, we're almost there, family.
01:03:14 We're almost there.
01:03:15 Playoffs are almost there.
01:03:16 It's almost time to matter.
01:03:20 It doesn't yet, but it's almost time.
01:03:22 We will see you--
01:03:23 You guys matter to me.
01:03:24 You guys matter.
01:03:25 We'll see you on Sunday.
01:03:26 Wait, Ahmed's got an outro for us, I think.
01:03:28 No, he doesn't.
01:03:29 He said he was going to work on an outro.
01:03:31 I am.
01:03:32 He had a phenomenal game.
01:03:34 Phenomenal game.
01:03:37 Porfrit's out.
01:03:38 I think it's an option.
01:03:39 That did not sound like a chair.
01:03:44 It was a freaking chair.
01:03:45 It does sound like a chair.
01:03:48 (upbeat music)
