02:27 Well, piracy is the use of songs or lyrics of songs

02:35 that we don't allow to be used in the song or lyrics of the song.

02:43 What is the most common type of music piracy, especially in the Philippine setting?

03:26 What effect does it have on me if someone pirates the lyrics or the sound of my song?

03:38 as the owner and creator of my song,

03:43 or the lyric of the song,

03:48 I can either put it in the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines

03:56 or I can talk to the person who copied it

04:03 to remove the song from the public space or media sites.

04:15 Alright. Director, is it still considered illegal to download songs

04:20 for personal purposes and not to distribute them?

04:26 Because we have what we call fair use.

04:40 It is still considered illegal to use songs for personal use.

04:57 But basically, we should not copy the works of others.
