Earthquake hits Taiwan, damages buildings, triggers tsunami

Early Wednesday, Taiwan was struck by a strong earthquake, affecting the entire island. In the southern city of Hualien, a five-story building collapsed, while in Taipei, tiles fell from buildings. Train and subway services were suspended temporarily, but the capital resumed normalcy swiftly, with schools and commutes operating as usual.
