Cockatiel belts out favourite tunes including funk classic 'September

A woman's cockatiel has gone viral after belting out his favourite tunes including funk classic "September."

Grace Robinson, 19, got her pet cockatiel named Kiki four years ago when he was just little.

Grace has never tried to teach Kiki songs but since she's had him, he has been like a sponge - lapping up any tunes he hears.

He's mastered "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands," the classic iPhone ringtone, Earth Wind and Fire's "September" and even a cheeky wolf whistle.

Grace, of Rackheath in Norfolk, said: "He just picks things up. I haven't taught him any of them!

"He loves singing to the mirror and if you show him your phone, he'll do the iPhone ringtone.

"The first thing he ever picked up was the wolf whistle but I'm not sure where from.

"But the thing that really sent him viral was the video of him singing 'September' at 7am"

Grace is now trying to add more songs to Kiki's impressive repertoire but admits it may take him a while to learn.

She said: "I'm trying to teach him 'Another one bites the dust' by Queen but he's not got it yet.

"I think maybe he's running out of storage in his little brain."

As well as a self confessed bird nerd, Grace is also a talented artist.

She paints pet portraits for people and has since set up a store with Kiki themed merchandise available on it: https://a7ea2d-91.myshopify.com/

Grace said: "My partner's dad helped me set up the whole merch side of it on Shopify and then I made the designs with a little drawing I did of Kiki.

"I do pet portraits for people too so I'm just looking to get my artwork out there as well.

"I mainly draw nature artwork and pet related artwork, but that's another route that I would like to go down and show people what I can do."

Grace posts lots of videos of Kiki on her TikTok page: @kiki.tiel
