The all-new Kia K4 will replace the Forte with 2.0 N/A and 1.6 turbo engines in the US market.

2.0 liter naturally aspirated or 1.6 liter turbocharged powertrain options,
Wide active safety system range with 29 ADAS features,
This is the all-new 2025 Kia K4, the company's new compact sedan introduced at the 2024 New York International Auto Show. Replacing the Forte, the Kia K4 introduces the brand's "Opposites United" design language to the sedan, in line with the company's new naming structure.

The Kia K4 model range in the US market will be offered to customers with two gasoline combustion engine options.

The entry-level option will be a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine with 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque; It will have the same power figures as the entry-level 2024 Forte. Power is sent to the front wheels via what Kia says is an "Intelligent Variable Transmission" for more intelligent handling of the CVT drivetrain.

Those who want a little more thrust can opt for the turbocharged 1.6-liter option with 190 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. This is down slightly on power compared to the current 1.6 turbo in the Forte and its 205 hp, but torque remains the same. Turbocharged models also benefit from an 8-speed automatic transmission.

To get the best handling from the new Kia K4, you will have to choose the GT-Line or GT-Line Turbo models. In addition to the obligatory GT-Line equipment bits that include 18-inch wheels, black gloss accents and a satin chrome roofline, you also get a multi-link rear suspension; This will undoubtedly make a significant difference in terms of roadholding and comfort.

Models equipped with larger 18-inch wheels will also be equipped with acoustic tires to reduce road noise, while all K4 models will be equipped with an acoustic windshield.

Kia is working even harder on safety, claiming that the K4's active safety features come from a higher segment. You get the usual package of lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control and collision avoidance systems. The optional Evasive Steering Assist can "assist" the driver's steering to reduce collisions, sending the vehicle into an unoccupied space when it detects you're about to crash. The K4 has a total of 29 ADAS features, while passive safety includes standard eight airbags.

It has a “fast back” roofline, but this does not compromise interior space. The Kia K4 has an overall length of 185.4 inches and a width of 72.8 inches; The K4 has the widest and largest footprint in the compact sedan class.

Interior features include wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto, while an NFC-enabled smart device such as a phone or watch can be used to unlock and start the K4. There's the obligatory "Hey Kia" voice assistant, while attention has been paid to speeding up processing power, adding OTA updates, and borrowing technology from the EV9.

The 2025 Kia K4 will be available to US customers in the second half of 2024 and will come with a 10-year/100,000 km warranty.
