00:15 into what he was up to that day.
00:18 And it included a new special someone.
00:20 During a recent Instagram stories Q&A,
00:23 Matthew shares a selfie and writes,
00:25 quote, "This is Vanessa, my GF."
00:27 This picture was taken the same day as the reunion.
00:30 We went to the Charlotte FC soccer game with friends.
00:34 As for why he decided not to join his fellow co-stars,
00:38 the 37 year old reveals he's, quote,
00:41 "Not going back into a situation
00:43 "where they maintain editing control."
00:45 And when another fan asked if the financial advisor
00:48 understood the risk of being on reality TV
00:51 before signing up for the show,
00:53 Matthew chalks it up to not being fully aware
00:56 of all that went into the editing process.
00:59 Matthew shares, "I didn't think they would cut
01:02 "and paste sentences.
01:03 "If I would have known that, I wouldn't have done it."
01:06 The 37 year old has previously expressed his frustrations
01:09 over the way he felt his story to be portrayed
01:12 on the Netflix show, during which viewers saw him
01:15 give almost identical declarations of love
01:18 to contestants Amber, AD, Smith, and Amber Graham.

01:24 about her interactions with Matthew in the pods.
01:27 And she shared this.
01:29 Matthew and I had a very specific connection.
01:33 It was very intriguing.
01:34 He's a man of very few words.
01:36 And so when I did get to speak to him
01:38 and when he did open up,
01:39 it opened up a different world for me
01:42 where I'm like, "Let me dig a little bit
01:43 "and see what this man is about."
01:44 But as far as connections, I mean,
01:46 Matthew's one of a kind.
01:48 Connected with him on a completely different level
01:51 than I connected with anybody else.
