Grand Mosque of Algiers is the third largest mosque in the world and the largest in Africa. This modern infrastructure, known as Jama Al-Jajaziri, is spread over about 70 acres. This mosque also has the tallest minaret in the world with a height of 267 meters. The minaret is equipped with elevators and a viewing platform from which the capital and the Gulf of Algiers can be seen. This mega project costs more than 800 million dollars and took seven years to build.
