UnitedHealth Group, one of the largest US healthcare providers, said it is recovering from a major cyberattack. The hacking group BlackCat/ALPHV breached UnitedHealth's Change Healthcare subsidiary in February, impacting millions. Change Healthcare processes billions of health transactions annually and impacts nearly every US patient record. Pharmacy, medical claims, and payment systems were targeted, disrupting patient care and operations. UnitedHealth has paid over $2 billion to assist providers impacted by financial losses from the attack.
