Home Start Garioch which provides support to new families in the north-east was recognised for its work with one of the first Kings Award for Voluntary Service and this week, Lord Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire Sandy Manson paid a visit to their base in Inverurie to make the formal presentation of the trophy.
