Nemesis Reborn roller coaster rice launches at Alton Towers theme park

Nemesis has been reborn. Since closing in November 2022, this 28 year old iconic ride here at Alton Towers has been under renovation. It's finally reopening and I'm here to get an early look at what thrill seeking rollercoaster fans can expect.

00:00 At first glance, Nemesis Reborn is definitely intimidating. The journey felt more perilous

00:08 as the drama of the backstory unfolded around us. A secretive organisation has taken control

00:14 of Nemesis, an alien predator from another dimension, much to the chagrin of activists

00:19 who believe Nemesis should be freed. The ride itself is intense as it takes you through

00:35 its inversions and has a top speed of around 50mph. Despite this, the experience felt smooth

00:42 following the upgrades. This 30-year-old ride has certainly had new life breathed into it.

00:48 It's a short ride, but definitely not short on thrills.

00:53 I've just about caught my breath. Despite the renovation replacing the entire track,

00:59 it's still the ride we all know and love but with a new makeover, full of creepy motifs

01:03 and storytelling, building anticipation for the ride. It felt like a totally new experience

01:09 altogether. Let's find out if other thrill seekers here today felt the same.

01:22 And I actually, the last time I went on thought I was going to die. So I wasn't actually going

01:30 Scarier. Safer and scarier, if it could be. But yeah, I absolutely loved it. And I love

01:34 the storyline and theming a lot more this time.

01:37 Yeah, for me, it was absolutely brilliant. Breathtaking. Took your breath away. Doing

01:41 it at night when it's cold and there's steam and everything, it really adds a sense of

01:45 atmosphere. All the new additions really blew me away.

01:48 I forgot how many loops there were as well. I thought there was only a couple. There's

01:52 loads. I was like, how am I going to get out? No, it was really good. Really good. Let's

01:56 go on it again.
