The bird park currently attracts over 100,000 visitors a year and has an extensive conservation and breeding program. Birdworld is the UK’s largest bird park located on the A325 just outside of Farnham. The major investment will include a complete rebranding of the park, with work forecast to begin in 2025 subject to planning approval. Education & fun is at the forefront of Birdworld's plan with a focus on using fun & interactive experiences to capture children’s imagination. James Robson Birdworld general manager said
“We want to use interactive & play initiatives to get kids to think outside of the box about how they are interacting. How high can penguin jump when it is out of water. “There is a lot of research to show that if you can get kids to enjoy & engage with wildlife at a young age they will take that into the rest of their lives.”
Birdworld features a large range of birds species such as flamingoes, penguin , parrots , pelicans and rare species such as the Socorro dove which has been extinct in the wild since 1972 due to its habitats being destroyed.
