People in Kenya send first wishes to new U.S. President-elect Barack Obama.

Celebrations spread through Nairobi as word that Barack Obama had won the presidential elections reached residents. Many Kenyans expressed their delight and had some advice for Obama, whose father came from a small Kenyan village.

# ICT CONSULTANT, JEREMIAH OKELLO, SAYING: "First of all I would like to congratulate Barack Obama on the fabulous win on the American elections. I would just like to give a piece of advice, kind of a request Mr, Barack, try to improve the trade relations between Africa and the western countries. There is alot of imbalance between America and Africa."

# PUBLIC RELATIONS EXECUTIVE, BOB WEKESA, SAYING: "President Barrack Obama, we would like you to remain the president of the world rather than the president of the US. Because as the campaigns for the US presidency have gone on, people have actually voted for you even if they are not US citizens."

# NAIROBI RESIDENT, SUSAN NG'ANG'A, SAYING: "We are so happy here in Kenya, in fact we are celebrating for your winning, thank you thank you. I would like to ask you to help our African countries where our people are dying of hunger, please come in and assist this countries."
