Queensland’s local elections throw major surprises to the state’s government

The local government elections have thrown up some surprises. The status quo has been maintained in Brisbane city council with the LNP extending its reign but in regional Queensland long time Mayor of Townsville Jenny Hill is in danger of being ousted.
