Need for new public high school in Wagga heard in state parliament

00:15 Minister, given that Wagga Wagga has a population target of 100,000 people within the next two

00:21 decades, will the Minister and the Government support the commencement of planning for a

00:25 new high school in the city's rapidly growing northern suburbs?

00:29 But can I just say, as the Minister for Education that also represents communities that were

00:39 let down, growing communities that needed primary and high schools, it is an issue close

00:44 to my heart.

00:45 I have lived it, I understand it, the Member is advocating for it.

00:49 We need to properly examine those figures.

00:51 I understand there is huge growth in the northern suburbs of his electorate and I look forward

00:56 to working with him on ensuring that if there is a need for further provision, we will make

01:03 sure that the communities of the northern suburbs of Wagga Wagga will get the first

01:08 class public education that they deserve.
