It’s been so long… I got used to my husband’s abuse, but felt trapped and couldn’t leave Charlie.
When a businessman, whom Charlie owed money, came to our house and demanded to get paid, my husband blamed me for spending it all. The true was that I never got a single penny from him.
The two began to argue, and reached a deal shortly after. Richard, the businessman, would take me as collateral. and Charlie would get me back once his debt was paid.
