This #InternationalWomensDay2024 #IWD2024 we're reminded of the resilience and strength of Palestinian women who have borne the brunt of the war on Gaza. According to the UN, two mothers lose their lives every hour in Gaza. Women and children make up 70% of fatalities, and elderly women-particularly those with disabilities-face the highest level of negligence and violence. Is the war on Gaza a feminist issue? On this episode of #ConsiderThis Melisa Idris speaks to Dr Ruhana Padzil, Coordinator of the Gender Studies Programme at Universiti Malaya’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
