00:00 How are you? Good.
00:01 Jared, I read that coming out of high school, you didn't have any FBS offers.
00:06 I don't know. Is that accurate?
00:07 Yes, sir. Yeah. My only offer was from the University of Albany.
00:10 So to go from that starting point to where you are today,
00:14 how do you describe that leap?
00:17 It's a whole change.
00:18 I mean, I've always knew it was going to come.
00:19 My family had no doubt in me, you know, with my hard work and my athletic
00:22 capabilities, you know, taking advantage of every opportunity that came my way.
00:26 Albany, you know, helped me flourish.
00:28 They helped me grow going to Florida State or something that changed my life
00:31 for the better.
00:32 And, you know, ultimately being in this position today, being around all these,
00:34 you know, athletic guys being in, you know, Indianapolis is just something
00:38 I've dreamed of. So I knew it was coming, but I just had to stay focused.
00:42 Jared, a number of players have expressed their interest
00:44 playing for Raiders coach Antonio Pierce due to his playing years, his experience
00:50 playing and his ability to relate to the players.
00:53 What does what we're playing for Antonio Pierce mean to you?
00:57 It means the world to play for, you know, anybody.
00:59 But specifically for your question, it's just helped my development, you know,
01:03 grow as a player, get bigger, stronger, faster.
01:05 But also it's the mental aspect that you learn from a coach
01:08 that's been there for a lot more years than I've ever been playing.
01:10 Talk about transition.
01:12 You all came from Florida State.
01:13 What was that development like?
01:15 What was it like playing at Duke like Norvell?
01:17 It was, you know, world changing.
01:19 You have coach Odell, you have coach J.P. out there every day,
01:22 teach you the small things, the things that I learned at Florida State
01:25 that I never would have even thought were a problem while I was at Albany.
01:28 Just the slightest tilt of my foot, my hand being, you know,
01:30 a little bit more to my side instead of being too far out in front of me
01:33 and just learning all that stuff is just my development.
01:36 Even coming back for a second year, you know, when I could have left last year
01:38 coming back and, you know, learning that a little bit more.
01:40 It's just it's made me so much better of a player.
01:42 I don't think I can even compare to the player I was in 2022.
01:45 What led up to you actually deciding to come back for a second year?
01:48 It was my development.
01:49 You know, I feel like I was a good player.
01:51 I was big, strong, fast.
01:52 But it was the small things, the technical things, the little details.
01:55 My new details that, you know, it wouldn't matter in college football.
01:58 But, you know, when you're in the NFL, when you're going up against
02:00 10 year vets, it's going to matter.
02:01 and we'll order some of those veetas.
