On February 29, Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Sheikh Shahjahan was arrested by the West Bengal police. The TMC leader has been arrested in connection with allegations of 'sexual assault and land grab’. Widespread protests are being held in Sandeshkhali in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district against TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh. As reported by ANI, several women in Sandeshkhali had accused Shajahan Sheikh and his close aides of "land-grab and sexual assault" under coercion. On February 26, Calcutta HC Justice said, “Public notice shall be given in this case. There is no stay order in Sandeshkhali cases. There is no reason to not arrest him.” Watch the video to know more.
