00:13 Mexico's National Center for Disaster Prevention has warned people to stay away from Popocatépetl,

00:19 as it had observed more than 77 discharges from the volcano, accompanied by water vapor,

00:25 volcanic gases and ash.

00:28 Local authorities issued a yellow alert in the area, which is issued when the volcano

00:32 emissions start, meaning residents must be vigilant and get ready in case they need to

00:37 evacuate from the zone.

00:39 Popocatépetl, informally called "Popo" by residents, is Mexico's most active volcano.

00:46 The 5,393-meter or 17,693-feet mountain, whose name means "smoking mountain" in the Nahuatl

00:55 indigenous language, lies just 70 kilometers southeast of Mexico City.
