The Woman Behind is a 1995 romance thriller crime film directed by Lam Yee Hung (林義雄).
Yee Man (鍾淑慧 Lily Chung Suk-wai) worries that her husband Kwai Seng (歐陽震華 Bobby Au Yeung Chun-wah) may fool around when he goes to set up a new business on the mainland. Initially, Kwai Seng demonstrates his virtue by refusing to take a bargirl home from a businessman's drinking session. But, when nearly knocked over (and then actively pursued) by a pretty young village girl (鄭艷麗 Julia Cheng Yim-Lai) to whom he is kind and gentle, Kwai Seng confirms his wife's fear. Wan eventually finds out through gossip and, after much fire and thrashing, accepts her husband's inability to decide between the two women, then accepts the girl.... or does she?
