'Chicago P.D.'s' Marina Squerciati Talks Burzek's 'Easier Life' In Season 11, But Can That Last In The New Episode
Transcript
00:00 Last week on the Burgess-Ruzek front, we had him passing his test to come back to the intelligence
00:06 unit. Moving forward, how does that change things for Burgess? Easier? More complicated?
00:13 He was on leave for so long? I think an easier life. I mean, Adam's Achilles heel is he is not
00:20 good without the job. And so now that he has the job, I think that allows sort of them to even
00:26 blossom as a couple. You know, we've both been shot. That makes you reevaluate your life choices.
00:32 And we're both healing. So I think we're both in a really good place when you start in season
00:38 open in season three. I mean, they basically we did this dance, the director Takashi was great.
00:43 He let us just sort of move and then didn't block it, let us sort of do this dance,
00:49 just the way a husband and wife or a couple that knows each other really well moves through the
00:53 house. And it was just so fun and something we haven't done before on CPD. Is that something
00:58 that you and Patty had to work out or is it just something that comes naturally to you after
01:03 10 seasons and counting? Both. But like Patty and I work so well together. So, you know,
01:10 he could be like, no, no, no, don't don't take the keys yet. I need five more seconds. And
01:13 we're able to speak to each other and hear each other, which sometimes actors are like,
01:17 don't give me a note. You're not the director. But Patty and I are just fine doing that to each
01:21 other.
