Movie: Straw Dogs (ENG) HD

Storyline: Scottish countryside. An American professor comes to live there with his young wife, who was born there. He studies and she gets bored. Some of the girl's old friends, encouraged by her flirtatiousness, rape her. Angry reaction from her husband, believed to be fearful. It will be a massacre. Peckinpah says that the violence of his films is justified by the violence of human relationships. Here, however, the violence seems agitated and complacent and, according to most, at the service of a reactionary ideology. Impeccable Hoffman; but the surprise is Susan George: a presence of disturbing sensuality.
