Belgian family painting determined to be a fake Van Gogh

Experts say the painting of Van Gogh found during renovation works on a house in Belgium was not a self-portrait.

00:10 They thought the artwork could have been a genuine piece from the Dutch master,

00:15 as the details were strikingly similar to his works.

00:18 However, after careful analysis by experts from the University of Gent,

00:23 it was revealed that some of the pigments used were created after the artist had died,
