Originally created as a traditional Danish pastry filled with cream and jam to celebrate a Christian holiday, the fastelavnsboller has evolved into a trend inspiring a frenzy of innovative cream cake creations.

00:19 We are doing around a thousand every day and it will culminate this weekend because we have the first launch weekend.

00:27 So it's quite crazy. And well, we have new ideas every year, but this year we went back to the traditional one.

01:22 Last year was the first year where we decided to do a fast launch ball and we wanted to do something that was playful.

01:29 And had the team basically take on any kind of childhood memory that they had from eating carnival pastries.
