00:32 like government employees who gave positive effect to the lives of every Filipino.

00:38 As a member of the CSC Pag-asa Awardees,

00:41 they created various projects and programs to improve their community

00:45 and increase the number of public services in their areas.

00:49 We have a group of awardees that championed authentic honey and honey products,

00:54 operationalized food innovation across the country to boost food technology,

00:59 have helped hundreds of farmers across Central Luzon

01:03 with the introduction of diversified integrated rice-based farming systems.

01:08 The Executive Board also recognized the talent of the Pag-asa Awardees

01:12 who showed their strong commitment to their duties to serve the public,

01:17 as well as the Presidential Pag-asa Awardees,

01:19 most of whom are professors and individuals and groups who responded to the COVID-19 pandemic

01:24 with the help of technology.

01:26 Standing solidly on our nation's bedrock belief that public office is a public trust,

01:32 our 2023 Outstanding Government Workers project the image of an ideal Filipino government worker.

01:40 They did not set out to do things that would earn them praise or to reap rewards.

01:46 Rather, they consistently deliver quality public service regardless of their position or their pay

01:53 because it is what they feel is their duty, the duty they owe to the people.

01:59 Apu Wang Od was the one who received the Presidential Medal of Merit.

02:02 According to the President, Apu Wang Od served

02:05 to preserve the traditional art of the country.

02:08 It was also because of her talent that the country was recognized worldwide.

02:14 Her craft and stature as an internationally recognized artist

02:19 raised international awareness of our country's rich cultural heritage.

02:23 As Apu Wang Od's work appealed to diverse cultures and across political divides,

02:29 she becomes an enabler for unity and an example of an idea that binds us all.

02:39 Along with recognizing civil servants, the President also promised that the government

02:44 will continue to support them so that they can continue to do well.

02:48 The same goes for the effort to increase the number of such government bodies

02:52 for a strong government under the new Philippines.

02:56 In the new Philippines, we want to increase their tribe in line with our efforts to build

03:02 a resilient government driven by agile and future-ready civil servants.

03:13 So let me reiterate the administration's commitment to enhance your working conditions,

03:25 Aside from medals and badges, the awardees also receive cash grants

03:29 that can be as high as P100,000 to P200,000.

03:33 This will be added to their automatic promotion to work or a bonus.
