FYI (for those questioning the leg position): There's no actual idol in this frame, the temple itself with Shiva Lingam (Bijli Mahadev) is 50 metres above. The foot isn't pointed towards Trishul, it is aligned with the rules. The poses are Shiva Karanas - the sacred poses of Mahadev from Natyashastra and performing them is worshiping Him solely (in a proper attire, bare foot). Nritya Seva is meant to be performed in front of the deity as a part of Puja.
