Lexus introduced the 2025 UX 300h last year, and now the company has announced that pricing will start at $37,490. That's a $1,000 increase compared to the current UX 250h, which starts at $36,490.

Although the price increase is small, the crossover has major improvements, including a fifth-generation hybrid system. It features more powerful electric motors, resulting in an increase in output power to 196 hp (146 kW / 199 PS), which is 15 hp (11 kW / 15 PS) more than the previous model.

In addition to being more powerful, the nickel-metal hydride battery has been replaced by a new lithium-ion battery. The crossover also adopts new shift-by-wire technology for a "faster and more seamless shifting experience."

Thanks to various upgrades, the UX 300h accelerates from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 8.0 seconds, which is 0.4 seconds faster than the previous model. The model is also slated to have a combined fuel economy rating of 43 mpg, up 1 mpg from 250 hours.

The changes go beyond the powertrain, as the UX introduces a new Copper Crest paint job. Inside there are new chrome accents and updated switchgear. Premium and F Sport variants get a larger 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, while F Sport Handling gets a power tailgate with kick sensor.

On the safety side, there is the new Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 driver assistance systems package. It replaces the previous 2.5 system and includes All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist and Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection. These include Road Sign Assist, Proactive Driving Assist and Lane Departure Warning with Steering Assist.

While this is just a brief overview, the entry-level UX features LED lighting units, aluminum roof rails and 18-inch alloy wheels. Buyers will also find a leather-wrapped steering wheel and eight-way power front seats trimmed in NuLuxe upholstery.

These are joined by a 7.0-inch multi-information display as well as an 8-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Highlights include Washi coating and dual-zone climate control system.
