Dear Toms, never did I think I'd have to write this with these tears in my eyes
00:08
When I heard the news, my heart dropped into my stomach and I prayed it was lies
00:11
Such a happy little boy, we brought the cheer and happiness to our lives
00:14
I sat up late at night, looking up at the sky and questioning why
00:17
Why were you too great for the world and needed by the power above
00:20
Of sitting up there, you can hear and feel all the people that are sending you love
00:24
40 months within our presence but your name and spirit will forever live on
00:27
Until I'm old and I'm grey, I'll be carrying your name along
00:30
Never to be forgotten, our little super Toms
00:32
The brightest star in the sky, forever shining and bringing us the light from above
00:35
For your dad and your mum, this is more than tough
00:38
But I promise I'll keep you strong and together we'll all rise up
00:40
And take a stand and make it known that Kawasaki needs to be recognised
00:43
And globally known, all over the atlas, I'm talking all over the globe
00:46
For all of you sat on your phone, listening to me speak
00:49
I beg you, go into Google and you search it up
00:51
Because Kawasaki disease is a silent killer
00:53
One day it's happiness and cheer sitting with your family, eating your dinner
00:56
But 24 hours can change your life, when a life is taken away
01:00
So please spot the warnings if you've got young kids
01:02
Here are the signs, 5 days of fever and red dry eyes
01:05
A strawberry tongue and a rash, if you notice these signs
01:08
I plead that you move so fast, it could save a life
01:11
Spread the word for everyone, your mums, dads, brothers, sisters, husbands and wives
01:15
In my little nephew's name, I won't ever stop until this disease is known
01:18
Taken away but never forgotten, Toms, we love and miss you loads
01:22
Every day I promise until we meet again I'll keep your name alive
01:25
So rest in peace my little buddy, and thank you for blessing me with your presence in life
01:28
in life. Rest in peace, Tom's. I love you.
