Bestiario is an exciting turn-based combat JRPG based on Spanish mythology and folklore, full of surprises. Should we call it an ÑRPG?
Inspired by Japanese classics and the Persona saga, it naturally combines dynamic turn-based combat with an exciting, mature adventure.
Bestiario is an ode to all those times we spent a million hours playing JRPGs.
The story of Bestiario is set in Spain after a pandemic. A diverse group of hunters must solve a supernatural mystery and fight unusual enemies and beasts to protect the world from a new threat.
Our journey will take around 30/40 hours for completionists, we will visit many places in Spain and Europe to unravel this mystery and discover fascinating stories that are not widely known.
From La Puerta del Sol in Madrid to the mountains of Asturias, we can encounter a variety of mythical creatures such as witches, gnomes, fairies, angels and many others, including ojancanos, urcos and scornaus.
Bestiario draws inspiration from popular RPG franchises such as Persona, Final Fantasy, and Grandia. Our goal is to incorporate elements that provide this exciting adventure with personality, epicness, and combat depth.
Aesthethically, it is reminiscent of Megaman Legends, Legend of Dragoon and many RPGs that shone with an impressive and beautiful 3D pixel style that, unfortunately, we have hardly seen again since the arrival of newer generations.
Bestiario is an ode to the timeless classics, you'll find hundreds of references and strong inspirations from them.
