Corrosive substance attack police raid

Police and other agencies are working to trace Abdul Ezedi, who is suspected of throwing a corrosive substance over people on January 31 in Clapham.

The Met Police investigation team has received dozens of calls and is working with services including British Transport Police, Northumbria Police, the National Crime Agency and Transport for London.

Searches have taken place at two addresses in east London and three in Newcastle.

This footgage shows officers entering one address in Newcastle where empty containers with corrosive substance warnings on the labels were recovered. Forensic tests are currently ongoing to see whether the containers held the substance used in the attack.
