The fast interceptor craft, known as the G2000MK2, were fully constructed at guarding marine

shipyard at the Lumut Port Industrial in Sitiawan, Perak.

This first batch of boats will be deployed at the Naval Region 2 Base in Sandakan.

Abdul Rahman said the vessel's configuration has also been upgraded, allowing more comfort

He also said the role of the fast interceptor craft is to support the Navy's maritime defence
