Argentines flocked to public showers in Buenos Aires on Thursday (Feb 1) to cool off as a relentless heatwave gripped the country.

With temperatures reaching up to 36 degrees Celsius, (96.8 F)
residents seeked respite from the oppressive heat and communal showers became a haven.
