00:00 The NBA has officially benched Tristan Thompson.
00:04 The league announces on January 23rd,
00:06 the Cleveland Cavaliers player has been suspended
00:09 without pay for 25 games for violating the terms
00:13 of the NBA NBPA anti-drug program by quote,
00:18 "testing positive for ibutamorant and Psarm LGD 4033,"
00:23 both of which can be used as performance enhancers
00:27 and are banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
00:30 Tristan's suspension begins on January 24th
00:33 with his team's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
00:36 The 32-year-old has yet to publicly comment on the setback.
00:40 E! News reached out to his reps for comment
00:42 as well as the Cavaliers, but has not yet heard back.
00:46 Tristan, who shares kids True and Tatum
00:49 with ex Khloe Kardashian, rejoined his former team
00:52 in September on a one-year contract.
00:55 The center was drafted by the Cavaliers in 2011
00:58 and played with them for nine years
00:59 until his 2020 departure for the Boston Celtics.

01:19 he captioned a photo of his jersey,

01:37 According to ESPN, since his return,
01:40 Tristan is currently averaging 3.8 points
01:43 and 3.9 rebounds in 12 minutes.
