PETA activists disrupt Pope's homily in Rome
  • 3 months ago
Animal rights activists enter a Rome basilica where Pope Francis was leading a prayer. The two activists from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) shout in the direction of the pope while wearing T-shirts and holding banners that read "Stop Blessing Corridas".

Corrida is the Spanish word for bullfight. They are quickly taken away by security inside the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, where Pope Francis led a joint prayer event with the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby. (Video Courtesy of AFPTV)
