Knifeman who stabbed three to death handed hospital order

A knifeman with paranoid schizophrenia who killed three people and attacked three others in a spate of “atrocities” in Nottingham last June, has been sentenced to an indefinite hospital order. Valdo Calocane, 32 pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of university students Barnaby Webber, Grace O’Malley-Kumar and school caretaker Ian Coates. Judge Mr Justice Turner said Calocane would “very probably” be detained in a high security hospital for the rest of his life. Report by Covellm.
