In this adventure, you are invited to the renowned estate of Count Aegir, who wishes to unveil his latest invention. Upon arrival, you encounter a diverse cast of characters.
As the story unfolds, Count Aegir reveals his newest creation when the mansion itself rises from the ground and begins to wander like a walking octopus, trapping the visitors inside.
Later, Count Aegir is found unconscious, and someone has attempted to seize control of the new invention's mobility. The goal of "MMM" is to uncover the identity of the culprit.
What is Maritime Mecha Mystery?
"MMM" (short for "Maritime Mecha Mystery") is a 2D investigative visual novel video game with role-playing elements. Attend a gathering of Germanic gods as Loki and solve the criminal theft of a wandering estate.
The game is based on the eponymous german tabletop RPG adventure, which uses the open-source rule system "Rookie’s Die".
This project is very stretchgoal driven and your support will shape the scope of this game.
* More characters: New gods can join the roster of guests. Your first playthrough roster is predetermined.
* New Game Plus: Every new playthrough changes the composition of the guests and another person could be the mastermind behind the theft.
* Creative combat system: Instead of simply launching turn-based attacks on opponents, we aim to turn the entire room into an weapon arsenal, bringing in the creative chaos of a jovial tabletop RPG session.
* Bonus Story Gallery Baldur's Dreams: Discover the truth about the demise of Wodan's son Baldur and Loki's past by unlocking an in-game storybook.
* Lokasenna Mode: Experience the story where Loki himself can be the culprit and has to fight the gods. Inspired be the legend of the Lokasenna.
