The Grammy winning rap veteran has partnered with Nifty Gateway to sell his own non-fungible tokens and join the trend being embraced by celebrities all over the world.
Last month, “Saturday Night Live” made a parody song about NFT’s, with comedian Pete Davidson impersonating Eminem and featuring Jack Harlow.
Eminem’s response to S.N.L. turned out to be a hint that he had an N.F.T. deal in the works.
The N.F.T. market has attracted hip-hop stars like 2 Chainz, Lil Baby, Snoop Dogg, Lil Pump and Bhad Bhabie, among others, creating a new stream of income for rappers and another way to connect with their fans.
Twenty-five years after his debut, Eminem is still one of the most popular artists in music. His 2020 album, Music To Be Murdered By, reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts in the U.S., U.K., France and Canada.
