Meet the youngster so obsessed with the 60s she gets told she looks like an extra from Austin Powers - who says her wardrobe is 70 per cent vintage.

Gianna Skye, 21, developed a love of 60s style as a teen after being inspired by her favourite music artists - such as the Beatles, Cilla Black and the Rolling Stones.

She loves to wear Gogo boots, velvet trousers and psychedelic stripes and picks up all her clothes second-hand on Depop, Vinted and eBay.

Gianna has a wardrobe full vintage fashion and sources the rest from sustainable and ethical shops.

Gianna, a fashion and communication student, from Liverpool, Merseyside, said: "I am conscious where I shop, I always prefer to shop on eBay.

"At the start I was saving a lot of money.

"I really love the psychedelic influence from the late 60s, with all the shinny stripes and patterns.

"My Friends joked that I looked like an extra from Austin Powers."

Gianna started dressing in clothes inspired by the 60s when she was just 19 - and now refuses to step out in anything but vintage or ethically sourced clothes.

She has brought collectable items such as a Gunne Sax dress and a Fern Violette dress, by Jay Morley.

Gianna said: "I have a pair of late 1960s boots that are quite collectable. I paid about £300 pounds for them."

She has spent £500 pounds in the last year, and her collection keeps growing.

Gianna feel confident wearing her colourful prints and often gets compared to characters from the Austin Powers films.

She said: "It was a joke to begin with, he always has girls in the back."

Gianna says living in Liverpool and the music scene in the city inspired her decision to wear vintage clothes.

She said: “I have always been aware of the music scene and that it has definitely contributed to my passion.

"I loved the Gogo boots, they had an unusual fashion sense even for them.

“I really love Marion Faithful. I love how she dressed.”

Gianna loves inspiring others to be bold and confident in what they wear.

She said: "It can be quite daunting, if you really have a passion for it and really love it - you should push yourself into the deep end.

"I think I love it more than I ever have."
