Trump Defamation Trial Postponed: Juror Illness Delays Proceedings in New York
  • 3 months ago
The defamation trial of Donald Trump in New York, related to claims by E. Jean Carroll, was postponed for the day after a juror called in sick. Trump's lawyer, Alina Habba, said she was also feeling unwell and that at least one of her parents tested positive for COVID-19, though she tested negative. Habba wants Trump to testify on Wednesday, a day after the New Hampshire primary where he is the frontrunner against Nikki Haley. Carroll's lawyer objected to delaying beyond Tuesday, wanting to finish the trial.
