Stray cat keeps coming to this couple's yard but won't come inside — so they build him a house of his own ❤️

00:06 He's very cautious of everything.

00:08 He would never come into our house.

00:10 No, he doesn't want to come in.

00:11 He doesn't really want to be around people.

00:14 So I knew the only way I could feed him

00:18 was by sneaking food and water under the tree

00:21 when he was gone in hopes that he would come back.

00:25 I just wanted to make sure he was OK,

00:27 because I didn't know for sure.

00:31 I told Chris, hey, it's almost winter.

00:34 I just want to make sure that Bapile is

00:36 going to be warm this winter.

00:38 We do home renovations.

00:40 So I told Chris that I wanted to build him a house.

00:43 I was like, he's a cat.

00:45 He doesn't need us to build him a little box.

00:48 I was like, I'm just going to do this.

00:50 It didn't matter what I thought.

00:51 It was going to happen anyway.

00:53 I was like, oh, fine.

00:54 If we're going to do this, we're going to do it right.

00:56 We're going to build a nice cedar shake cabin for him.

01:00 And it's going to be amazing.

01:01 The main thing was have it insulated so it's warm.

01:09 The cedar shake, I think, was the perfect complement

01:19 to our house.

01:19 It's great for protecting the brain.

01:22 On the entryway is a picture that's

01:25 on the top of the Sistine Chapel.

01:26 I think he's a pretty tasteful cat.

01:28 Yeah.

01:29 I think he'll appreciate that.

01:30 Oh, for sure.

01:31 He needed the best of the best.

01:33 We knew that.

01:34 Yeah.

01:35 I'll get on the concrete.

01:38 You're good there.

01:39 We had eyes on the house pretty much from sunup to sundown,

01:51 just so we could see if that belly came into this house.

01:56 It took him about four days before we saw him again.

02:00 Then we finally saw him come.

02:02 He just poked his little head inside the door.

02:04 He didn't go in yet.

02:06 But we were like, hey, that's a success.

02:09 I kept putting his food out.

02:10 I kept putting his water out so that I could lure him in.

02:14 When he was in it and he was just poking his head out,

02:20 he looked like a king.

02:21 Now he's going to be warm this winter.

02:29 And the fact that we get to provide a home for a cat that

02:32 needed it, that's just like a cherry on top.

02:36 It brought the joy back into doing home renovations.

02:39 If he would get comfortable with people,

02:40 we would home him immediately.

02:43 Interest is high.
