According to a government study, half of the Spanish population under the age of 15 have accessed and consumed pornography at least once and 25% before the age of 12.

00:00 The Spanish government hopes to launch an age verification pilot project before the
00:06 summer to reduce the consumption of pornography by minors.
00:11 Speaking to national media on Monday, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez also announced he
00:15 intends to pass a comprehensive law for minors on the Internet.
00:20 This comes as experts are sounding the alarm on the negative impacts of adult content on
00:25 minors.
00:26 "Everything that connects with that age, from 8 to 12, with sexuality or with sex,
00:32 is what they are going to learn, even what they are going to want or what is going to excite them.
00:35 Most of the porn that reaches that age is through stickers, links or chat on the Play
00:41 app.
00:42 There are impacts on the distortion of perception, the language in which women are spoken, the
00:46 type of practices that are observed.
00:48 A report from the Ministry of Justice found that half of Spanish children between the ages of 12 and 15 have consumed pornography at least once.
00:58 In addition, 70% of those between 15 and 17 say they consume adult content regularly.
