00:00 We're here today at Paradise Dam. Over four years ago the Labor Government gave the farmers

00:06 in the Bundaberg region five days notice that they were going to pull the plug on this dam

00:11 wall behind me, that they were going to reduce the water to 45% of its original capacity.

00:17 Now there's 8,000 jobs that are heavily reliant on agriculture in the Wide Bay region and

00:22 tens of thousands of jobs that are indirectly reliant on agriculture in that region as well.

00:27 What we need is a secure water system. We need to ensure that this dam wall is reinstated

00:33 to its full supply level and that's to protect the Bundaberg region, the people that work

00:38 in the Bundaberg area and the food on your plates.
